Someone tell me how to bypass this...I started this game at 3:30pm...it is now almost 9:30p and the thing is still downloading ****! I can't get out of the installer!!

Sounds like you installed from the original SoA disks, which are 2 years old. A lot of changes have been made since then. Download the latest client from here. Far fewer updates to go through. Be sure to completely uninstall the current isntallation of the game before installing the newer version, just to avoid potential issues.
