Feature Article Feedback: “Tag! You’re It!”

The festival grounds in northern Bree-land play host to the many seasonal festivals celebrated in Middle-earth. Well-traveled adventurers know the fun doesn’t stop in Bree-land when the vendors strike their tents after seasonal festivals.

It's always good to relax with a quick game of tag. I just wish more people knew it was there!

The ancient ruins to the southwest of the festival grounds play host to games year round!
I'll have to check later, but aren't the ruins southEAST? Is this a classic directional SNAFU?

I didn't even know that was there. I'll have to check it out soon.

When do we get capture the flag?

Could use a lot of the same tech as freeze tag but have a chicken on each side you have to guard and try to steal.

If you are on your side you would be tagged as 'it' so you could freeze the other team if they cross the middle line, and vice versa if you go on their side.

If you get froze on the other side then you have to get freed the same way as in freeze tag by someone on your team.

Use a big field with some trees and boulders and such and you'd have a fun capture the flag field.

Drunken tag games are fun too.

Did they add the new "No Cheating" buff that I noticed in the hedge maze? The one that forces movement speed to 100% ?

Players with movement speed buffs could sorta cheat... and there is an exploit with freeze tag and mounts but it's pretty obvious when someone uses that cheat.
Not all those who wander are lost. They might be working on one of their exploration deeds.

Our kin (Pie Lovers Society on Landroval) has been putting together events for our kinship for about a year centered around tag. And as for the person who is "it" ending the game when exiting through the arch, when we have played it has just transfered to another player still inside the ruins automatically. Afterward we usually head back to the kin house and take a drink from the Inn League Keg to see where we end up to finish off the night. Of course, we now have a few SInister kegs, so things are even more interesting than ever.

The freeze tag game is a blast. Our kin had great fun doing this and lots of laughs. It would be great to see more mini-games introduced into LOTRO in the future (I have an idea for one...it's called "Find the Developer" who is hiding somewhere in the complete LOTRO Map).
