Well, there is such a place, and its at www.lotroalliance.com! This fansite lets you re-create your character exactly how it is specced out in-game! In fact, you can choose to 'Sync' your character with the official my.lotro.com site! This will automatically 'equip' your character with the same items that the my.lotro.com site says you are using. You can then browse the ever-growing database of items and equip new things! Items you want to get one day.... Items you have, but aren't sure how they compare... Even items that are part of a set can be compared!

Once you've built your character and the different builds you want (I explained that you can have more than one build right?) Yes, that is right, you can set up one build to mirror your current in-game character and make other builds to try out the other trait lines, items, sets, etc!

Once all that is set up, you can have the site create a nifty signature that you can use on other forums and link them directly to your character on www.lotroalliance.com. On the site, you can view your friends' characters and directly compare items, stats, traits, etc. It's as simple as mousing over the icons!
