    minstrels power please help!!

my minstrel is doing better with moral then the level 65s i see i have 4552 moral and 3455 power at level 61, i know im way ahead of minis with moral cause most barely have 4000 moral, i saw one guy who was just right he had 4000 power and moral and i really need to even this out, but i cant muster up the guts to get rid of my jewelry for power jewelry, all my jewls have over 150 max moral and it would be such a waste to switch to power and take the rings and stuff off! i should say i have the trait for 220 max moral and not the power trait yet that gives 250 or somthing, but i just need to try to get my triats and stuff to get my power to at least 4000 so if you have any good traits or anything please post here!!!

    Re: minstrels power please help!!

My power pool is just under 5300 unbuffed at 65 and my morale is right around 4500 buffed (Will is maxed Fate just under). It all comes down to what you want to do as a mini but for me I want to be the uber healer in groups. You'll need more power than morale to keep up. An extra 700 morale in a dungeon is pointless, if you are getting beat on then something is wrong, you could have 7k morale and it won't matter, morale for the moors yeah. Your group will want you to heal like a tank hot hit like one or be able to take a hit like one.

No one says you have to throw that jewelry away You can swap out as necessary. Max out your fate and will, you'll heal harder, regen power faster, and have more of it.

    Re: minstrels power please help!!

yeah, keep the jewelry and vault it.

ICPR is better in most fights anyway than a huge power pool, so I focus on stats as follows:

    Will
    ICPR
    Fate
    Morale/vitality
    Power

I don't have a huge power pool, but it is decent. However, I'm going to have to get myself some new power equipment so that I can survive the fight against the Lieutenant. Apparently, you have no ICPR in that fight, so you have to manage with what you bring with you. I intend to completely max out my power pool and minimize my healing costs, and conserve power like crazy.

Here is what I run around with, dont want to list my traits/armor but can if needed.

I know my ICPR is about 1050 or something, think ICMR is a bit higher, I like to PvMP so Tactical Crit/moral/power/ICPR/Will/Fate/Vit are my focus hehe.

    Re: minstrels power please help!!

I've got a related question. I'm just starting to heal again after a long break.

I find I'm running out of power even in situations like Sword Halls.

How much do you all do stuff other than heal? Do you ever just stand there, or are you constantly tiering up ballads or helping DPS with PC etc. Coming from playing a warden, if I'm not pushing as many activities into a small a window as possible, I feel like I'm failing somehow.

I'm running about 4000 power and about 1200 icpr (after dual tales), and about 4000 morale. You can follow the link to my minstrel under my sig. I know my armor stinks and I'm working on that.

If you haven't healed in a while, make sure you get a book with healing power cost legacy on it to help reduce your power consumption. You might also throw a few into the blue line to get the -healing cost there.

I almost never run out of power, but I only tier up my stuff and don't throw out any other ballads (ie, for damage) unless I'm in a short fight where I know I'll be getting the power back right away. Still, it's a good idea to stock up on food, and don't hesitate to use it.

oh, and make sure you're not using a drum

    Re: minstrels power please help!!

Mine still has a lot of work left to do, but I'm at 4300/4600 roughly. Do a character search on Huckling and you can see the choices I have made so far.

As for what I do besides heal... I buff a lot. A whole lot. People complain sometimes But it accomplishes two things. One, it actually buffs the group. But since it only lasts 30 - 45 seconds and there are several buffs, I can spend quite a bit of time cycling just to keep them up. Secondly it makes the healing easier if the buffs are active. All the buffs give a healing bonus to me I throw in Call to Greatness whenever I can as well.

Also, I like to keep anthem of the free peoples going as much as possible. So, its helpful to be at or near tier 3 ballads when that timer is wearing off. Same for anthem of compassion.

I do run out of power at times depending on the instance or the group. Using CC and being aware of healing debuffs can be helpful. The group can make it harder to heal if they aren't being cautious.

If I'm worried about power and don't have any healing to do I try to get behind mobs and auto-attack. This puts me in a good spot if a mob gets a corruption, and every little bit helps.

If I'm not worried about power then I run echoes of battle and pop some ballads on the mobs whenever I get a chance.

Some fights I just know are going to be problematic. The last boss in warg pens is one of them. I turn off tales, don't use echoes, and only buff when it can trigger anthem of the free peoples. Knowing the instance and the group can help change how I spend my free time. Sometimes I start out with attacks if it will allow for it.

What is your ICPR?!?! I have 4150 morale and just under 5000 power unbuffed and I have 1215 ICPR. I wonder if your ICPR is lower.

I want to be the uber healer in groups, and I am. I just have about 1k less power than you and 1k more morale. And I bet my ICPR is way better than yours. I never run out of power. And it is really silly to say that you don't need morale in grouping situations. You do. There are times when you'll be taking massive aoe damage that is completely unavoidable (Watcher fight, anyone?) or when aggro gets borked and you'll need to survive taking a hit or something (I happened to be standing next to the Hunter with flame being conjured under his feet in the Durchest fight last night. It was just us two taking the brunt of the distributed damage, since he failed to run to the group... and I lived because I have enough morale to take that much damage. Others wouldn't.)

I'm not saying don't max out your Will and ICPR first, just don't neglect your morale. I have 650 Will when buffed by a Captain and my Tale, and 1450 icpr. You may like having 5300 power, but I guarantee you that you are not outhealing me, and I also guarantee that I will survive to heal my group longer than you will.

My fate and will hang around 550, how do you get them up over 600? What specific items/traits are you using?

I have 650 will and 650 fate buffed with my group buff, without it I am at 595 will and 605 fate. My ICPR is 1215 and my power pool buffed is around 5100 and my morale is like 4100 or 4200. My ICMR is at 1124. My armor is at almost 4,000 and I have a very high tactical crit. I prefer the higher ICR's over the bigger pools.

Not really. If you're in a boss fight where he can hit for 4k, or you get a random agro knockback into an acid puddle, that extra morale can be the difference between surviving by the skin of your teeth or game over.

I run around with 5204 morale and 5109 power with incpr at 1012 without tales. with tales I max out my will and fate is 554. inpr with tails is 1051 and morale goes to 5231 and power at 5263 I'm happy with my build, I personally think that if you have your incpr over 1000. your good to go.

Can you post a link to your build? I'd like to see how your icpr is so high. Will and Fate basically maxed out and I am sitting under 1000 on my icpr. What stat drives that? I thought it was W and F or one or the other but I have to be missing something.

    Thanks

My icpr is about the same. For me, a good chunk of it comes from the Glowing Aureate Armlets. And there's settings you can put in your weapon that will give you another +90 icpr.

Just fate. Will helps power pool and out of combat power regen and fear resistance as well as helps your healing stats.

Fate helps IN combat power and morale as well as with tactical skills.

The tinker kindred bracelet (glowing aureate) gives 97.2 ICPR direct per bracelet. So two of those and you get an instant 200 (almost) buff to ICPR. (Along with 20 fate, 20 vitality, 20 agility and 176 morale per bracelet)

The Superb Lothlorien Light Shield also has 97 ICPR on it and like someone else mentioned, you can get gems for your legendary weapon and songbook. The Tier 6 gem has 84 ICPR and the Tier 8 gem has 96 ICPR.

The information listed is the Glowing Aureate Armlet of Morale. There is also the Glowing Aureate Armlet of Power which has 97.2 ICPR, 20 Will, 20 Fate, 158 Power, and 88 Morale if you want some more Will and Power instead of Vit and Morale.

I'm quite interested in hearing how you have ~1500 icpr(or do you run Flow of Harmony?).

Also, Verhalas, My Lotro doesn't show your shoulders, what are they?
