Yeah, it seems like everyone should have a champ and either a hunter or RK raid ready in anticipation of which of the 2 DPS varieties (ranged/melee) will be favored in the "next" raid. It seems like there's usually a clear advantage to stacking one or the other.

Any word from how DHB is doing in BG? Are they still around? No offense if they are still hard core raiding just haven't seen or heard from them in a while.

Ahh ok I see what you mean. And yes I agree. But I could also place hunters into the same category. Besides poison removal, which is a non issue in there, they have no utility skills either. However, just the fact they are ranged makes them more desirable.

Anyway, enough about those pesky champs! I don't want to derail this thread any further than I have. Besides, we all know the champion's true strength lies its ability to break mezzes.

    Back on topic:
It's great to see that so many other groups are still taking the time to run BG. It's by no means perfect, but it's still a pretty fun raid in my opinion.

Btw, +rep to Wootie for the concise and reasonable response to my post, much appreciated

    Woot!

It's sad that they can't find a balance. I love raiding with my champ, but I have zero incentive to take him to BG. Same goes with probably 3/4 of our other raiding champs. They're either playing a different class or not going at all.

That might be partially my fault in allotting spots....but our DPS spots always go to RKs and hunters. I can't see any logical way around it. We even tank Morgraf with a hunter/RK combo and find it easier than putting melee in there. I think with most champs, if they wanted to play a tank, they wouldn't be playing a champ. Our main BG champ curses Turbine several times each run...it's kind of a tradition now. Good thing he also has an LM...

It would be nice if they would even just give them a 100% corruption removal skill. Can't even use them reliably for that - esp on the LT, cause you never know if you're getting 0, 1, 2, or 3 (safe to say not 3), which can toss things out of whack in a hurry.

My warden will scoot over and make some room on the "Not needed for raid" bench. lol

I didn't say anything because when I sign on with my freep there's NEVER anyone else on in my kin, thus I don't do BG. That plus I'd have to keep sticking myself with needles to stay awake.

Nope I wasn't forced to leave. I just don't pve enough to have a reason to be in a kin.

And yes needles would be required. I fall asleep when working on maps in the game's only pvp zone. So if running around in a pvp zone puts me to sleep, there is no hope for multi-hour pve.

Maybe a nap? Old folks such as yourself can often benefit from a few hours of shut-eye during those slow hours between The View and Oprah.
