Game Login and Forum Issues 5/26/10

We are currently working to resolve the issues affecting the LOTRO game servers and forums. We appreciate your patience and understanding.

5:58PM Update: The login servers have recoverd and players can log into the game normally. We continue to monitor the situation. If you are still experiencing login issues, please use this thread to report them.

TY for the update. I hope there's somebody running interference between management and the trenches. Nothing worse than hearing "is it up yet?" every 5 minutes.

It seems to let me slowly but surely log in and get to the server list - even more slowly they all go green - but once I click on Gladden and get the "Connecting to Gladden" message it just stops

Exact same thing now since I got home - approx 4:30 Eastern US

4:30 CST --> can get all the green checks but can't actually log in to Windfola.

Same as Starwen. Its not hanging up on the data center part any longer, but the moment I try to log into Silverlode or pick a server, its saying 'nuh uh' and just hanging there again. Haven't been able to get to the character screen, yet. Getting the green checks too. 2:25 PST.

Edit: 3:15 PST, finally able to get into Silverlode. Yay, thanks!

Umm, i guess the real question here is should we be trying to login or even bother ?

Is it just creating a huge load on the world server with the constant attempts ?

A bit more information might help the Tech guys and the Customers understand things more.

I can now log in as of 5:30 E.S.T.

The problem is, if I tell you to stop trying, and people actually listen to me (never happen, right?) then the problem goes away and we post 'all clear', then suddenly we recreate the problem.

could these issues also affect my ability to access the free 'weekend'. My account constantly switches from active to expired. I had finally managed to log onto a server but my game froze and now my account is back to expired.

I was able to log into Nimrodel but it did seem to hang a couple times.

The issue involves our login servers and the myaccount.turbine.com servers so yes, it is entirely possible.

Thanks Sapience. I was able to get in to Arkenstone after waiting for 10 or 15 minutes and getting a few of the World Queue errors. Once I was in though, it was great.

the forums are slow and sluggish and the game doesn't connect with servers . Ohh well, time to play some thing else in the mean time.
