LOTRO Lottery Known Issues & Feature Requests (Updated 2010 May 12)

I just noticed while mousing over some of the prizes in the Lottery of the Free Peoples that a few of the tooltips that pop up aren't what is listed. Polished Beryl Ring comes up as Brilliant Ancient Silver Ring and Brilliant Gold Earring pops up as Polished Ruby Earring. Not sure if this is a result of the jewelry changes from last patch or what.

ETA: Same issue with the Welcome Wagon Lotto: Brilliant Silver Ring and Brilliant Silver Bracelet tooltips are coming up as Polished Bloodstone Ring and Polished Opal Bracelet.

Indeed that is the case; looks like some of the former data was cached. Should be cleared up now for those items.

In regards to the token lottos, does each level have the same # of winners regardless of level/population? (i.e. Tin, Iron, Silver, Gold, etc. all have have ## winners) The reason I ask is that my Burglar just reached the Level for the Ancient Silver Lotto a couple days ago, and since that time till now I believe she has won nearly every single token lotto she has entered - 13x so far. My 65s in the same timeframe have one between 0-3x.

I'm not complaining at all , but it seems as if the number of winners is roughly equal to the number of entrants on Firefoot's Ancient Silver Lotto. It makes sense that the Ancient Silver and then the Platinum Lottos would have the smallest pool of those who can enter and thus the highest likelyhood of winning.

The number of winners per world, per lottery is always consistent. So if a lottery has 10 winners, every world has 10 winners. So, your odds of winning are directly tied to the number of entries.

It's a manual filter. When creating the lottery you have to force it to allow only the 4 races of the Free Peoples. Otherwise creeps get in. I made a boo-boo. Sorry guys!

Said I won it before the maintenance starts (about 4 hours before) and nothing yet.

I can see that some error occurred, but I do not know the how/why at this time. Unfortunately, we are unable to redeliver prizes at this time.

The issue of old lottery winnings really does need attention asap.
It is almost impossible for us to see if we have new wins.

I just checked mine and counted 109 win notifications (nothing to get jealous about as most are the pipeweed or fireworks lottos) yet they are not in order properly so I cannot just check the bottom of the list (when it shows the last few properly) and even searching the page for the date "06/2" at least 1 is found but while it is supposed to be highlighted and scrolled to show up I can never get it to do so when using FF or IE.

Digero has made an EXCELLENT greasemonkey script for Firefox that cleans up the lotteries so that you can easily see winnings : http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?t=340450

By default it only shows winnings in the last 7 days (configurable) and orders them by date.

I also made a small (optional) modification to always show all "major" lottery wins, and only the "minor" lotteries in the last 7 days (things like Tokens, Gift Boxes, Pipeweed, Skirmishes - again configurable).

Just a note to Duwis - the Polished Beryl items in today's Free People's lotto are still linking to Brilliant Ancient Silver items. A couple of them have player entries with the Polished Beryl item, though. More remnants of the changes to jewelry crafting, I guess.

1) Have the web entries for the lotteries clickable to see what you won. For example, the Highday Lottery varies from week to week. It would be nice to find out what I won without consulting the master list on this forum.
2) Try to have unique names..especially for lotteries running at the same time. The Medallions of Middle-earth this weekend is a good example. There were three different types of medallions with the same name. I saw that I had won on the webpage, but had no idea what I'd actually won until I could log in.

I just found that I won "Medallions of Middle-earth" on my 65 captain but only received Moria medallions in the mail when I thought that chars 60+ got Mirkwood medallions.

There were 3 different ones running and I think level 65's could sign up for all 3, not just the DG medallions.

My lottery winnings list got so filled up, the scroll bar kept getting smaller and smaller and now it's non-existant. Sometimes it bugs out and I can't get it to scroll. Is there a way to clear out the list or maybe only go back 2-4 weeks to display the winners?
