I find these purple items as I go...for crafting right? Some of them say useful to minstrals and captains etc. some of them say nothing. Is there a list somewhere of which trophies go to which recipe?
Plus, does someone make the master journals or do you just find them? These are noob questions but I'm a noob! Help!

The drops you are finding that say useful to minstrels and captains etc are not used in crafting but are needed for those classes class quests.

If it doesn't say it's useful for crafting or if it doesn't say it's a barter item (at the top) it's probably an old crit item that's just a leftover in the game, like the Mad Badger's Tail, it has no use.

Journals are made by scholars using a single use recipe for whatever journal you are looking for. They usually require a shard/flake to make as does the recipe you are using them on so they can be quite expensive to make.
