I want to roll a (lone) character on one of the new servers. Just thinking out loud about choosing a craft.

There are some changes coming. You can buy potions and you can buy tools now. There are more crafts with multioutput (love that) but not all yet.

Anyway...

I used to like historian but with the purchasable potions scholar might not be that hot anymore. Also, I hate having to deal with steel in the historian's weaponsmith if you don't have a prospector alt.

Tinker is everybody's darling, no need to muse about it.

Since I might roll a guardian armourer is a good option. But no new multioutput recipes and now people can just buy the superior tools. And obviously most people with altitis only need one tool for the whole account. Not sure about that one.

Yeoman and get cracking on dominating the early food market? Used not to be an option because it wipes out your bag space but now we can have bigger vaults.

The other class I might choose (other than guardian) is Lore-Master. I used to think LMs should have a historian but so far I found that I don't play with books much. I might be tempted to roll a woodsman here. Always have a good staff at hand, sell wood (and farming results) and some crafted bows and crossbows to champs and guards.

Over time they might repair the importance of crafted weapons and give multioutput to woodworkers. Might be a good option?
