Seeing as it's such a challenge to get new looks these days I decided to design outfits around my horses.

FINALLY! A reason to want to wear my moria gear cosmetically (dyed black) with the Raven mask and Song Caller's Shoes (also dyed black) riding the Sable Harvestmath mount.

I've wanted my Minstrel in heavy armour cosmetically for as long as I can remember so I immediately jumped on the Ceremonial set of the West-Tower (dyed black) with the Ceremonial Circlet of the Seven Stars (dyed dark green) and the Cloak of the Falling leaves (dyed black) riding the Grey Company mount.

As a side note does anyone know why the Helmet of the West-Tower is not included in the ceremonial gear while both the light and medium helmets are?

Did you use any dye on that or is that just the look? From your comments, I am assuming the latter, but I wanted to make sure.

It is dyable, yes. The dress is dyed gray and the helm and shoulders are dyed white.

The outfit is composed of the Burglar Watcher helm, the Warden level 50 Ettenmoors gear for chest and legs, Minstrel boots and gloves from one of the purple Moria sets, and some generic heavy crafted shoulders. I think I need to work on the shoulders, still. I was thinking of using the Minstrel Rift shoulders, but they're almost too silly and bulky for such a sleek outfit. Any suggestions?

Awesome outfit!! The helm just makes it. If you're looking for new shoulders, I think that the ones you have now are great -- the dwarf shoulder model, right? But some of them dye a lot better than others. "Dwarf-make Outrider's Shoulder Guards" for example dye pretty much completely black, which might get you the look you're searching for!

Great outfit! Where did you get the Burglar Watcher helm?

I got the Moria Watcher set on my Burglar and put it in my Wardrobe so my other characters could wear it cosmetically (which is how my Guardian there is wearing Warden and Minstrel gear, too).

They are the dwarf model, as I tend to like how the dwarf armors look cosmetically the best. I'll take a look at those others you recommended, too, thanks!

Here's Wahooka, a RK inspired by a character from a video game I enjoyed many moons ago. The hauberk came from the Turbine store and the mask from the fall festival.

His mask never comes off, as the original Wahooka was a goblin. Unfortunately, as there are no beardless dwarf options, each and every beard option pokes through the mask. The best compromise I could find has two braids sticking out of his chin. Now I just need to come up with a back-story as to why a dwarf suddenly started acting like a tricky, but good hearted, gem loving goblin.

The look is made up of the level 25 Great Barrow Heavy armour dyed navy, and a generic cosmetic hooded cloak dyed red.

Tier 5 crafted medium armor - Westernesse Protector's. The individual piece cosmetics also show up in several drops and quest rewards.

That's the Flame-touched Hauberk and Flames of the Deep cloak. Both are available from the Cosmetics vendor in Skirmish camps - they're under the "Rift Cosmetics" listing.

Aside from the hood, that entire outfit looks to be Tier 6 crafted medium armor. There are four iterations - Footman's (level 51), Scout's (level 54), Herald's (level 56), and Marchwarden's (level 58).


As an aside: Darzil's is an awesome guide to armor and cosmetic appearances.

With the new horses and store cosmetics and dyes, I have been busy working on outfits for my characters!

Here are three so far.

My captain, Cithryth:

Wearing the Long Sleeved Elven Dress (from Rivendell rep) and Hooded Elf-lord's Cloak (from the Store), both dyed Evendim Blue.

My RK, Sriracha:

Wearing a low-level Elven Cloth Shirt, lvl 51 med. crafted armour gloves and boots, and the Hooded Cloak of the Dove, all dyed white.

My hunter, Sagewood:

Wearing Nenuial's Jacket, Leggings and Shoulders, random med armour dropped gauntlets, Westernesse style medium armour boots (dyed umber) and Traveler's Hood (from the Store) all dyed Ranger Green (save the boots). Also a Fine Quiver died umber.

I love that cloak but I'm only seeing it in the version with the hood down, which I don't like as much. I don't see a hooded version in the store.

It's definitely there, try typing "Hooded" into the search box. It's on the first page for me.
