Unhappy Locked Lifetime Account: For a Lifetime?

Ok so, as you have probably guessed I have a founders/lifetime account. This was bought by my dad for $200 when the game was still in beta (he got one for himself as well), as I wasn't old enough at the time to fill in credit card information, use my own email, ect. I'm older now and have finals (big tests, otherwise known as mid-terms) coming up in a few weeks. My dad is concerned that I spend more time playing lotro than studying (don't we all? lol) so he asked for my username and password (he no longer plays, so forgot all of our account info, which is why he needed to ask) and I now can't log in. I can get into this community website, but not the actual game. I'm fine with being off for a few weeks to study, but am concerned about whether or not I will ever get my lifetime account back. I'm not 100% sure what he did (I advised him to simply change the password to avoid this). He either did what I advised or completely locked the account. If he did, will I ever be able to get my lifetime subscription back? Turbine has gotten very skrimpy ever since f2p came out, and I'm worried that I will have to start paying for VIP. Thanks in advance, cheers all.

I would recommend that you ask your Dad what he did. Preferably after finals, proving to him that you put your studies first and feel ready to play again.

I think that's a good idea. It's not like I am SUPER NEEDING and addicted to playing, in fact I think it's a good thing that he did this, but at the same time I'd like to know what he did with my account, because lifers have defiantly gone up in value ever since f2p was launched.

There's really no way for any of us to know the answer to this question. I've heard that Turbine never deletes accounts, so I'm sure your characters are still there. As to whether he canceled your subscription and you won't be able to get Lifetime back, well, only Account Management and your Dad know for sure.

If you Dad plays, then I'm sure he knows that Lifetime isn't an option anymore. Unless there's some reason why he'd think it would be in your best interest to cancel it... that you're not telling us about...

If your un/pw works on the site, that same info should work in the game, unless he deliberately caused your account to be banned/locked.

Unfortunately, since he's the official account holder, he's the only one who can remedy the situation.

We're not the people to ask; we have no idea what your Dad did and cannot possibly hope to advise you. :\

I think your dad has bigger issues than worrying about your "school". I am worried when someone toss out $400 on a game.

To be completely blunt (if preachy); if you are in college, your father did the right thing. There are a billion other things you should be doing than playing a MMORPG. Studying is only one of them.

(If you still in high school, then disregard.)

Buh? Why would you be? Lifetime subscribers have by far gotten the best deal. Just as an example, a lifer pays $200 up front and never pays another subscription fee. (I'll leave expansions out of it for simplicity). Someone who subscribes for 14.99 a month has paid 539.64 after 3 years. Someone who subscribes for 119.88 a year has paid 359.64 after 3 years. Double those for two subscriptions. $400 for two subscriptions, FOREVER, is much cheaper. So where's the issue, exactly?
If you give away gold bars, someone will complain they're too heavy.

The owner of the account (the person whose name is on the credit card) is the only person who can perform any changes to the account by contacting Account support. We cannot discuss the issue with anyone else.
