Is this seriously all the pvp has to offer here? The creeps wont even fight me 1v1 and even when two of them they just CONSTANTLY run to the bridge to hide by the npc's. This is the most pitful pvp I have yet to see, there goes any chance of an end-game.

If your looking for 1v1s or 2v1s don't hang around the NPCs (freeps or creeps). Bridges/EC/OC/ TA lawn = farm time for both sides. Accept it for what it is. Run the map, there are creeps that move solo or in small groups. You will get jumped by duos/trios. Its unreasonable to expect low ranking creeps to want to 1v1, but it is more fun than getting zerged or camping.

As for a PvP server. Well, most who had had that impression left before creeps could properly rank and freeps could level and gear. Now the server is just Riddermark.

Try Brandwine where you can honestly say your 24-man freep raid just got zerged.

If you're willing to level a toon again, as far as I know, currently the server for decent PvP is Landy. If not, stick around and help improve PvP here.

If you want to pick your fights, i suggest you play a steath class, otherwise do as Baldori says and stay away from the typical farming areas. A few nights ago, freeps and creeps had a good open field fighting b/w TA and Grams..away from NPCs...well, i admit to running to TA when I would get DOT'd up
The same thing happens on just about all the servers so i wouldn't say this server is any different except that more established servers have much more high ranked creeps...just repeating the obvious here.
One piece of advice, no one likes a qq post. Save'm for your friends and kin.

If anything, I'm very happy on Riddermark. I've played on 4 different servers, gotten at least one toon to rank 9 on 3 of them (maybe Ridder will be my 4th?). I have to say I'm having my most fun here in PvP because of everyone who plays here, on both sides. Sometimes I have crazy bad days, other days I'm a beast but no matter what, it's fun.

Remember, it's not up to others to make the game fun for you, it's what YOU need to find out what's fun for YOURSELF. For me, personally, it's being hyper-aggressive. I don't do well with stars on me.

When we flipped back to our freeps there was at least half a raid of creeps out in the moors bemoaning the lack of freeps. We went to bring a good fight but couldn't find anyone. Took TA without even getting a pounce and run from a warg.

On the plus side, we're looking to have a bit more of a creep presence on the server as well and created RI's creep tribe last night: Kool Aid Mans

It boils down to, we're looking for good fights, not easymode rolling of the other side. Where possible we'll try to balance members between sides to keep the fights even and interesting.

How could you know this unless you were getting information from both sides? Are you guessing?

And, why are you hijacking a thread about the lack of 1v1 encounters?

To the OP, you have to remember that rank has a lot more meaning to a creep than bragging rights. All those frills you associate with traits and skills, creeps don't get when they start. Creep get better with higher rank. So, don't expect anyone under rank 5 to stand toe-to-toe with you for very long. Some do, but not many.

Or was that your whole point? You prefer the lower ranked creeps for easier battles. No big deal, just sy so.

He had an issue with me 1v1ing freeps in a spur of the moment mutual agreeable random setting, mind you he didn't say anything about his own tribe leader who has done alot more of that then me in his time out here, but why wouldn't he do it, he is almost unbeatable at it!

If you're going to whine, then you should whine about the lack of freeps. Most nights freeps are outnumbered.

In fact, I hope you guys either leave the server or join us again for more fights with the creeps we have now because the ones that have taken your places have been dedicated to fighting well geared (for the most part) freeps night after night and have provided extremely aggressive and challenging fights. To be honest, I'm embarrassed for you guys for logging off after, what? 3 deaths?

Maybe, despite your "high ranking creeps" on your native servers, you could learn a thing or two from the creeps on Riddermark and fight with a challenge. I really do hope you guys come back and have fun for once.

You might have hung around for 2 months. If you like I can check your infamy on a weekly basis to be sure, but I dont think thats neccessary. The freeps that power leveled in the time frame you played here probably could have been counted on two hands total. In additon, they we're definetely undergeared. They were outnumbered and undergear, are you seriouly suprised they rarely left GV?

I think small groups will eventually become more common, but not until the creeps get higher ranks. Its a stacking effect right now. Creeps need numbers so they group, freeps group to match, creeps add more, freeps add more.....on and on until one side can zerg the other.

I too wish more would have stayed, but it is what it is.

This is not true. In the VERY early weeks this was exactly the case, but were wern't complaining about the first month.

It was after that first month that started to piss us off. Freeps did have mediocre gear, the did have plenty of lvled freeps, yet they still stared at us like we were crazy for wanting open field. My tribe was the only guys out that really had any moderate ranks on them, and for most of that time the ranks were only 4-5

The amount of green/blues was astonishing. The freeps would wait until they had more numbers to even attempt to push. They would die in an even fight and blame it on being outnumbered/undergeared. That's what you're hearing from them. So I'm sure they have all told you many stories about how they all were zerged over and over again.

Well at month 2 when I asked around there were atleast 50 freeps that were lvl 65. I would venture more but from teh peeps I talked to on freep side that was about what I saw. Month 3 is when I left for a break from lotro and guess what it was the exact same thing as month 1 when there were maybe 10 freeps that were at 65.

I will give the "undergeared" thing for month 1 and 1/2 of month 2. At the start of month 3 when I left there were about even numbers every night out. it was the same old garbage from both sides. Look bud I am not saying I know everything about the server, but when I come from a break and try to get a 2v2 and watch the freep 2 run to the rez circle to keep from getting killed and then the **** that happened last night with a 2v2 I have to laugh.

As Khaos stated tribe had most of the ranked creeps in the early going. With that said, I tried to get small group fights and 1v1s going from the freeps with little interest from them. The ones that wanted the same got that from our tribe.

The pvp won't change at all and that is sad. Too many people only care about rating, points, and their war tab. This has been proven over and over again from both sides. Oh well good luck on finding what you are looking for.

Alot had been said, and honestly its alot of back and fourth. As a new player (maybe two months) I've only Freeped here ,and made creeps on RM and BW. SO I don't know much about the other servers. Brandywine is an awful zerg fest. To be honest the Pvmp here seems really good compared to other servers. I agree with the 1v1 comments though. You can't expect rank 0-3 to be willing to fight your freep. Creeps start way under powered, and only get up to par at BEST at rank 4-5, and even then that's only against the baddies. Both sides complain about sitting in Npcs ,and fighting, and nither side cares for it (so it seems.) But lets be honest; how many leaders of the freeps raid or creeps raid say HEY lets try to pull them out into the open. Doesn't happen often. When it does; it always results in a great night of PvP. I'm sorry you have not been on during some of the amazing fights that take place. Tonight for one was alot of fun. Even though yes we (creeps) knew we had to sit in/around TA, but we just didn't have the heals sorry guys. Hears to hoping we keep progressing into a great non zergfest pvmp server. Look forward to seeing all the creep/freeps out there. Merry Christmas everyone.

I've played some, but not a huge amount, both sides on Ridder. It comes down to the scales feeling very tipped toward freeps having more stability to fight from still.

On my rk (exclusively fire spec) I had it way too easy to survive whilst making a nuisance of myself with dots. And, on my reaver I've mostly found myself playing opportunist with no heals and merely trying to be close enough for when I need it and taunting with my proximity. It all changes for my reaver when I've support; I go from a hit-and-run toon with iffy burst (r4 so short on immediate skills), to what we expect of reavers as being the biggest potential dps out there (at the least creepside). So, yeh, I still just want more creep healers, but I'm not willing to roll one myself. Sad isn't it?

Oh, and 1v1's are pretty much out, 'cause there's only really burgs or champs I could expect to beat without extraordinary luck. So, the only infamy I'll gain is through focussing down an opportune target with other creeps. More of the same as how I've ranked thus far
