    New 65 - Gear Recommendations

Disclaimer: Yes I know rad is going away, but it's still here now & I'm looking for upgrades.

So anyway, I just hit 65 a couple days ago & have started grinding school/lib so I can get the marks needed for upgrades, however I'm looking for some thoughts on the 2 sets out there.

Beast-master's (from Epic Helegrod Light armor)
    &
    Annunimas set.

Personally I liked the set bonus from the Annunimas set but the Helegrod main stats seemed a bit better & looked cooler.

    Opinions?

VM set is the best for dps and you can do all the Moria raid content with it. If BG is something you plan on doing more radiance is always better.

You talking about the Stone-Keepers pieces you get with the marks of moria/platinum coins?

When you are considering this, look at the sets as pieces that, when all put together, can make up bonuses, but they may not fit your playstyle.

That said, look at the Anniminus set. Notice that it was built for all light armor wearers. NOW, look at the Helegrod set, specifically built for the LM class. It costs more marks, but was built for us, so that is the set I am pursuing. HOWEVER, if you are not worried about raiding and rad, you may want to look into some of the other sets, like the ones in Mirkwood or the crafted Lothlorien that have better stats in other areas without the rad. Ultimately, Lotro makes sets so that most classes have armor they can switch to make their build better in specific situations for specific fights, ala the Moria sets that you can get a shadow/acid/fire resistance bonus depending on which set you wear.

    Hi there!

    http://my.lotro.com/home/character/5...8138032403719/

I use the annuminas set - for stats, it's great.

Here my stats reflect will self-buff and cappy morale bonus, and idome (+50 to all).

So take 50 off all stats to see unbuffed numbers. It's easier to obtain than the hele set to be sure, actually, it's also easier to get than the full Moria set - we should start doing VM in the new year, now that the VM set is going to be making a comeback with the exclusion of radiance in the spring.

I'm sorry, forgive me, as my lm was shelved for a long time before I brought her out of hiding. What is the VM set?

The 3 Stone-keepers pieces that have 25 rad & need the tokens that drop from vile maw (aka watcher/VM)

Exactly, AKA the Stone-reader's set. Great solo set with the +10% bonus to fire damage. Trait 5 MoNF + ISG and then rain down DPS on all of Middle-earth!!!

Definietly not an end game raid set, but awesome for soloing and 6-mans.

How is it the "VM set" if you never need to set foot in VM to get it?

I have the 4 +10 rad pieces, they need 10-25 moria tokens to purchase, nothing from VM.
3 other pieces however, have +25 radiance, the stats are better & require Platinum tokens to purchase. I don't remember offhand which (spirit & heart?) but they drop in VM.

The two head and shoulders are the pieces that can be bartered for with the platinum coins. - these are only available at the vile maw raid, as far as I know.

It's called the VM set, because the pieces were centered around finishing the vile maw raid. When moria first came out, the only on-level raid available. The helm and shoulders have +20 radiance each.
