I just started playing a few weeks ago. Play maybe once a week.

I made a loremaster just because I thought it was unique.

What's the endgame like with loremasters? What sorts of roles do they play in group/solo content at endgame? What builds are best?

What build is best is whatever your group needs. In this game you can always readjust your build depending on the situation, no permanent decisions need to be made. Generally it's like this:

3-man/6-man, no CC needed: DPS (red)
3-man/6-man CC needed: Pet spec (blue)
6-man/12-man with hard hitting bosses: Debuffing (Yellow)

Loremasters are the most fun in a group of any class I've played, and they are also the most difficult to do well. Good luck!
