What are you doing?
Waiting for the update and collecting symbols?
Or trying to get as many good 4 leg items you can?
Or are there other considerations besides the # of legacies you are basing your plan on?

Still not sure what first age 65s require. In the meantime, just need a 65 second age 5 pool A, 2 pool B weapon and class item (best for my needs, imo). Got the weapon, got a couple potential candidates for the emblem.
Would rather have 5 pool A and 1 pool B than 4/2 or 5/1 with extra points to spend. Would love a 65 1st age weapon for highest dps, but would need at least 4 pool A legacies, and I don't raid...so not expecting that any time soon.
What reason would you have for conserving them?

In the event symbols are used for first age, or for the "more info" forthcoming in dev diary, ie tweaking of pools?
I am 99.9% sure Symbols are not the ingredient used in crafting 1st age items. The notes from awhile ago said that 1st ages will drop in the raid. I think we all know that the weapons will not actually drop inside there (hopefully they learned from when they did in Watcher), and it's pretty obvious that it will be a crafting system, same as 2nd ages (the recipes are on Bullroarer). Although they currently use Celebrimbor Symbols, I am sure that is just for testing.
By the time it hits Live, the required ingredient for making 1st ages will most likely be Symbol of the Elder King.
With that said, I believe the best bet is to use up your symbols now to try and get 4 legacy IDs. How much can it hurt? Even if Celebrimbor Symbols are used for 1st ages (which is highly unlikely), it's not like they are even hard to get. But, trying to acquire a 4 legacy ID'd LI will be extremely hard to come by.
I got a level 65 2A four legacy dagger for my hunter two days ago, and I am tickled (b/c my bow was originally id'd with four LI's, too).
I am going to keep trying for four LI's on a runestone for my RK. I think that is the best use of them right now. Symbols will continue to drop, and imho, symbol prices will plummet b/c once you get your 2A weapon, you'll be refining it with 3A's and won't need to craft a bazillion 2A's to get the right set of legacies, so symbols won't be in demand very much. So...spend them now, is my thought.
And it is my understanding that a special ingredient will be needed for the new 1A's.

So Im still confused
How many Legacys will a Third Age ID with
How Many Legacys will a Second Age ID with
How Many Legacys will a First Age ID with
Rergardless of what Pools I just want to know if I should be IDing as much as I can now or wait for the patch.

The answer is 3 for each in the new world order. All pool A.
I'm using my symbols now hoping for 4 on ID. I expect that the first age level
65s will take some time to get and think it will be nice.
Another option is to sell your symbols. Price will probably drop after the
release, you can acquire some then. The new big thing will be Scrolls
of empowerment, which you will need 5 bazillion of if you need to heavily
customize some LIs with legacy scrolls...
Thats what dont make sense then.
Right now Third Age IDs with 2-3 and Ive had 2 Sencond Age and one IDed with 3 the other 4.
If they are just taken the random out then Third Age would ID always with 3 and Second Age with 4.
With all the extra Exp needed to lvl the item what would be the advantage of a Second Age over a Third?
I know you might say the Tier they start with but that can be overcome with time and scrolls making both Idetical

Well, it is what it is. People wanted a less random system, and this is what we got. People have campaigned to get the first ages always with 4, but hasn't happened yet.
Second ages have higher DPS/healing rating and more total points to spend on legacies. They are definitely worth it...
Whats the chance they just arent saying but by time it goes live they do make a change? Having each Age produce one more legacy just makes sense. Combine that with more points and DPS/Healing make it well worth going for.
If everyone knew they would be doing someting now. I have 10 Third age Items saved now and if they will get 3 for sure why would I ID now and take a chance on 2 when I can wait and get 3 for sure. The way things are will make it easier to just ride with Third Age alot longer.

I just figured this out
LOTR Store
Add 1 Legacy to a Second Age Item one time only 495
Add 2 Legacys to a First Age Item one time only 995

So anyone mind posting a current>change for the different ages. I'm on my cell so I can't look it up too well(old phone). Having only recently hit 65 I'm not sure what the previous(or current) system works in totality. Is the change good for all ages/levels or is one of them getting stiffed?
I'm an expert - look at my join date, bro.
