Petition: Remove the Orc Rude Emote

How about keeping the emote as is (because it's hilarious), and making it so freeps fall on their faces like creeps do when they've been incapacitated. Problem solved.

Some of the cool emotes introduced to PVMP in the last updates can be used to anger and insult people. Taking the fact that serious development time was put into these things, I can only say that all this is WAI.

Anyways, easy solution: release instead of spying. Problem solved.

Two problems:
1: A person has to release in this game to avoid a virtual sexual assault - really?
2: People aren't always spying. They often stick around for the renown.

Instead of defending your position, you've weakened it I'm afraid.
To avoid explicit sexual emotes a person has to give up renown.
Not a good position - are you sure you want to be there?

Granted, as a warg I'm often finding myself the victim of this emote - I guess I could faint.

I agree OP in that it's offensive. Just as the freep 'pushups' emote they use on us creeps. When it's sexual by appearance it has no place in a game setting. Now the really sad part of this is how life has changed enough that most will just ridicule you for more 'fun'. It's anything goes these days and anything 'they' know to do to have their fun and annoy at the same time is going to be done in the name of 'funny'. I'm glad you took the time to bring this to light in spite of the 'peer' pressure that will be brought to bear towards you. I live for jokes and being funny but you can cross the line and set examples for others to imitate like the clones they are.

Personally, I feel this would be un-acceptable. For several reasons. the main one being that was what the griefer wanted.

Thats a good reason to make them release by all means! You know, points are all that counts, and denying the enemy points is even more important than to make points yourself!!!12

I do generally agree to your point, but .. seriously, I dont want dev time spent with this (I never wanted this ***** to be introduced..). Think about where this may lead to.

The face in the mud idea is ok for me. Makes some of my emotes more convincing.

The push up emote is a non-sexual emote being mis-used to feign sexual assault.
The hip thrust is a sexual emote from the outset.
That is a world of difference in my way of thinking.

If I were to threaten to do to you the things that my character may or may not do to your character in game, it would be assault.

Me too. I was in the middle of throwing fire at this lore master while a champ was slicing me with two swords and hunters hurling arrows at me. I turned to watch a spider coat a hobbit with poison and saw that emote. I was totally like "hey, wait a minute, that was sexual!!!"

If you get offended by this it is your own fault for being offended by benign and harmless animations in a video game. I am offended by Dwarves with big noses because it reminds me of my evil step-mother and her gigantic nose. Should they be removed? If you think this animation is going to corrupt your children, then maybe they aren't ready to play this game. It's rated T, after all.

I'm pretty sure you could describe the act of defeating someone with arrows and sword here. But try that with a sexual act...

TBH I don't think it belongs in the game, but in knowing how some employees can get I am not surprised it was put in the game. Just look at the issues Disney has had.

Its a game for goodness sake, if it REALLY bothers you, don't pvp. And to the person who asked if it was my mother and/or sister, I could care less if it was in a game, if it was real life i'd be pissed.

Personally, I find nothing wrong with the emote itself, it's a rude emote. That's what rudeness does, it offends people.

However, in the way it was used, I'd say that, that player should be reported (screenshots would be best in this case), and not reporting them, is doing a disservice to your friends and community.

That being said.
*Turbine could remove it and I for one, wouldn't care.
*It's not an important part of the game.
*We don't 'need' to have this emote, and it seems to cause and encourage more problems and poor actions than anything else.

The incident in question involves the orc running up to a fallen and kneeling female foe and hip thrusting into the character's face repeatedly. I'd say that the emote, which is clearly sexual in nature, being applied to the face of a dead foe would pass as "deviance" in any society.

Look, there are several MMORPGs I won't even consider because the selling point of those games centers around getting as much blood and gore onto the screen as possible. They want to sell sex and violence - fine, I don't go there and wish those that buy those games the best of luck
