I think it's more of a case that Sapience knows the questions long before they are asked....

It's sorta funny, but I always pictured Sapience sitting at a desk, reviewing the up coming changes being announced, then breaking out a bottle and a glass from the drawer.

Nice to know he is also at least tri-lingual. Just saw one his posts in both German and French. Impressive.

    Glad to have him here.

Indeed, three cheers for Sapience! (even though he's probably already got that deed). I shall have to buy you a pint... Soon™

Well, there is a mini-fridge under my desk...

I can't take credit for that. Google Translate and Tolero had a lot more to do with it than I did. German and French are total mysteries to me. Spanish I can work with, I did grow up in South Florida.

The real question is - does Sapience have a mirror to check for signage after receiving these pats on the back...

Technically that's my job, as I sit right behind him. Literally right behind him. If there was any signage, I'd know about it. I'm on the watch! We don't need no stinkin' mirror!

Course that just begs the question of what happens when you're the one deploying the signage...

As the person in the best position to place said signage...you have to say that, don't you? :-)

Pfft, we know you're the one putting the signs on his back to begin with. He's probably covered in post-its and doesn't realize it.

Excuse me but whats the thanks for?
Doesnt sound like that much work for someone to answer questions when he already knows the answers
I dont consider that to be worth a ''thanks''
Sam: “It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end, because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad had happened? But in the end, it’s only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines, it will shine out the clearer. Those were the stories that stayed with you, that meant something. Even if you were too small to understand why. But I think, Mr. Frodo, I do understand. I know now. Folks in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn’t. They kept going because they were holding on to something.”
Frodo:“What are we holding on to, Sam?”
Sam: “That there’s some good in this world, Mr. Frodo. And it’s worth fighting for.”

The same reason you thank the waiter at a restaurant when they bring you a glass of water, or come by and ask how you're doing or how your food is... Sure, it's their job and they're getting paid to do it, but it shouldn't be a completely thankless one if they're doing a good job.

For taking the time to type answer questions, even knowing they would not make people happy. Then taking the responses back to appropriate people.

He could have just been silent and removed offending entries and that would have been enough to be considered his job. I am glad he decided to go above an beyond. (Even if he took my thread away)

Speaking of stinkin', I used to work with a woman (yes, you heard right, a WOMAN) who would eat a lot of pickled eggs claiming it was a defense against such behavior. So if you're sitting behind him, it's probably in your own best interest to watch his back, as it here.

Yes, thank you, Sapience, for all of your hard work!

Also thank you to the rest of Turbine!

Thanks to Celestrata, for watching our backs along with Sapience's!

Thanks to +Dust, for interacting in a friendly way with GLFF while dealing with Trolls on Landy the other night!

Thank you Turbine, for four great years. LotRO was my first MMO, and is still my only MMO; I haven't found any reason to go anywhere else.

Also thank you to Beautyberry for starting this thread.

I'm also fond of the public LOTRO team, and appreciative of the behind-the-scenes folks. Y'all contribute to something special. Thanks, guys and gals!

I do thank him, but he DOES close topics without warning lol.

What would you have him do? Post saying "this is in violation and I am going to close it in 10 seconds, please get to a safe place and log out"?
