    Account has been Hacked

    My account has been hacked, is there any way to talk to someone to get things handled over the weekend or am I just hosed? It is not sending me my information to my email and when I try to do it by my email, it says not account is associated with it.

    I play several characters Halj, Uprr, Dwog, Malrboro, Brygiagan, Tapit, Goddard, Trashmule, Doodaa. If anyone sees anyone on Desponte Illuminate Avante Set. Please let them know.

    Engelhardt (all his characters start with engel) Broonor, just to name a few please someone have a kind soul and let them know if they are on.

    That sucks, that happened to me a while back too. Since it's now Monday, hopefully you've called Turbine's customer service Account Services. They were extremely nice to me when I had to make that call.

    A lot has changed since then - they have an actual policy now for handling compromised accounts and I think they have more solutions then they had then.

    As Lurkerinthemist has already posted, you should contact Turbine Account Support immediately today if you have not done so already. They can work with you to get your account back in your hands and inform you what needs to be done next for our Compromised Account Reimbursement Policy.

    You can find their contact information by visiting http://support.turbine.com, clicking the "support center" tab and then choosing "Contact Us."

    My account was also hacked on 4/16/2011, I called and got my account back in my hands and went in game and turned in a ticket for each character and waited....yesterday (almost a full month later) I put in another in game ticket after some discussion in ooc with other players that felt that my patience was more than it should be. I have never recieved any reply or any in game compensation, I had planned on buying another vip subscription but was going to wait till I got my stuff back, my last subscription ended oddly enough during the time my account was unavailable to me. Any help or any response would be greatly appreciated.
    My characters are Wolfsbane, Low, Thurinaerin, Degori and Widwoodward, all on Arkenstone.

    I've also noticed when talking with other players in game about this that many offer items and help and I want to express my gratitude and appreciation for individuals like these.

    Update: Tomorrow will be a week since my last post and still no response or action of any kind. My account was compromised on 4-16-2011, from what the lotro resources said I should have seen or heard something by now. I have now turned in multiple help tickets both in game and on the website. Not sure what steps to take next, ANY response would be great even a reply to this thread by a moderator. Or any advice from someone more knowledgable.

    Best way for you will be to phone Turbine directly during the week. People there are really helpful. Phone number should be on your account screen.

    Think I turned in my ticket wrong, it wasn't until I talked to a friend that I realized I have no "ticket" button and haven't for some time even though I came off vip during the time my account was hacked. But after turning in a ticket on the website I have already recieved compensation and I wanted to say thank you to those responsible and those that had to read through my posts :P I did not recieve items back (not sure why) but did recieve compensation which is mainly all I wanted at this point and then to move on with my life. So thanks Turbine peeps and those helpful folks in the forums and in game (who really keep the spirit of this thing going)

    My buddy got his lvl 65 hacked, turbine only gave him a measly 50 gold in compensation... poor compensation when you realize just how much XP and buffs and so forth he had poured into his Legendary Items. He was a lifetime member too :-/
