Talking Mellon Nin - A small family

    Hello chaps,

We've never advertised for kinnies before because we usually recruit by playing with people and seeing how well we all get on. We are a small, well established kin and now, due to kinnies in college, kinnies getting girlfriends (we all know what happens there ) etc, we now find that we have a few spaces for new friends.

We are all multitaskers, with a minimum of 5 raid ready characters, so we are adaptable for all situations. We are all long term (3 years +) players, and we are all daily players (my main has nearly 9months /played time!). We are active in two alliances, one of which we raid regularly with and have done for at least 2+ years. We make friends ingame and keep them

We have the usual kinhouse - chests groaning with foods/pots/tokens/soups etc for kinnies - we are all active crafters with most characters guilded supreme masters. Most evenings we're to be found on ventrilo chatting as we play, even if we're not in the same instance, it's still nice to chat with mates.

We'd like a mature player (in gaming attitude - not mentality, we do silly jokes too), preferably one with several characters - they don't all have to be 65, we're all raising alts too, and preferably with good experience too. You don't have to have the best gear, working together we can all get that.

With the rise of free2play, we've seen that it has now become possible for players to level to 65 without ever being in a fellowship. Personally that saddens me, The Lord of the Rings (the book) was all about people getting together, working together to defeat evil. When the game first launched, fellowships were designed at various levels to allow people to learn how their characters' skills could be used in a group situation. Unfortunately, now that people don't have to fellow, we are seeing many characters unable to use their skills effectively.

As a kin we play in groups, we use our characters in actively supporting fellowships/raids because we recognise that as a group we total more than the sum of our parts. It is essential therefore that you are capable of fellowing effectively.

So, if you like a smaller kin where you are well known and loved, where your characters are aided in their development with gear and fellowship assistance, where there is always a welcome when you come ingame, then please consider joining us. We are approximately a third of the journey to Mordor, we have made some magnificent allies and friends along the way. Please consider joining us for the remainder of the journey

    Blessed Be

    Finda

Re: Mellon Nin - A small family

I have to say that, having spent time in a number of the larger kins, a smaller and more family-like kinship which still (succesfully) does all the instances and raids within a friendly alliance is simply awesome. I really enjoy the social aspect of this game, and I did feel that a few of the large kinships started having cliques.

So yes, I can definitely recommend it.
In the sea without lees standeth the Bird of Hermes.
When all his feathers be from him gone, He standeth still here as a stone.
Here is now both white and red, And all so the stone to quicken the dead
    .
The Bird of Hermes is my name, Eating my wings to make me tame.

Cool Re: Mellon Nin - A small family

    HELLOOOO

Sorry chaps, I forgot to give instructions if any of ye are interested

Well, this new fangled American forum will allow you to email me directly, and as things are still very new re: the move to turbine, I shall be watching the forums closely.

Alternatively, you can contact me ingame. This is the fun bit as my main is a minstrel, more often than not she's on anonymous. (show me a minstrel who isn't and I'll show you someone who is either drunk or on tranquilisers, or has pulled all their hair out ) So I suggest you drop me an ingame email and I'll get back to you asap.

Thanx a bunch, looking forward to hearing from ye and - GAME ON!

    Blessed Be

    Finda
