Sounds really good! My only question are that of the armour cosmetics:P Will it have the helegrod look or do we get some other more appealing skin for it?

    Freep Consumables
Anything new (beside the ones available and unchanged since SoA), or will it be store only for the new consumables?

    Ranger Session Play
    *Fly True
The DPS has been nerfed by 40% compared to SoA. It will go up by roughly 25%, while freep base DPS will double as well as creep morale (not mentioning Avoidance/Mitigation/Resistance)... Deadly assassin incoming.
    *Power
    How about power drain immunity?

    Chests in Glân Vraig
Will they be updated with RoI?

I guess I will be happy if all the ''incentives'' and ''rewards'' are updated will the raise of the level cap...

As if in answer there came from far away another note. Horns, horns, horns. In dark Mindolluin's sides they dimly echoed. Great horns of the North wildly blowing. Rohan had come at last.

Yes, why has nothing been done about the dreaful ettenmoors armour cosmetics?

Mr PvMP Dev, can we please have a different looking armour set for a change... or failing that just turn on cosmetics.

Only thing I don't agree with is that there will be a special title and cloak for rank 10's and higher, only until the end of October, to show who has been in the game the longest. What if some people don't like PvP, but love the cloak?

At least let the timer dissapear imo

Thumbs down Re: Rise of Isengard: Dev Diary Feedback: Monster Play Changes – Freep

One major complaint I have is adding special titles for those "who have been here for the long haul" and requiring that creeps be rank 10 to get them. I find this insulting as a player who has mostly creep played since beta and I still don't have a creep rank 9.

I play all the creep classes and have been here since the beginning. Why can't you make the creep titles based off of the time that creep characters have been created?

For a freep on the servers I play on it is relatively easy to blast your way up to rank 10. For a creep it is not even close to as easy to reach that rank.

Please rethink this rank-based requirement for the title or at least make the title stay in game so that eventually those of us "who have been here for the long haul" can get the title alongside those who have had the time to grind to rank 10.

I'm curious about the idea of Captains getting the fate/will rings when it was my understanding that might is going to be the primary stat for healing.

Assassin? More life a tool for griefing.

Get rid of the ranger and make an Ent with the exact same abilities as a troll.

Or even better, get rid of Moors session play. It adds nothing and is broken half the time anyways.

I don't PvMP at all on either side but I think it's nice that those that enjoy that aspect of the game get some worthwhile rewards. Having said that it looks like those class items in some cases are quite powerful compared to the crafted similar items we have seen so far from the Beta. The off-hand weapons shown have crazy dps - even better than 3rd Age Legendary Weapons. Didn't Turbine fix that?

It would be my hope that the PvMP rewards are slightly better than crafted items to make them worth acquiring but inferior to instance drops. Otherwise it would make participation in one aspect of the game (PvMP) an advantage in another (PvE), which seems unfair. Especially to non-VIPs.

Agreed. It stinks for the creeps and freeps on the 4 new servers too. We've only had a little over a year to get Rank 10, not 4+ years like the original servers. When I heard about these new titles it gave me a small reason to try for rank 10, but now what's the point? I know I won't get it by 10/31. I guess I should have stayed on my Rank 8 creep on Vilya instead of moving to Ridder to help populate the new server.

Could you please remove the timer for the cloak quest? I can understand the title one, but is giving a couple people one of the most powerful cloaks in the game and then removing it forever really a good idea?

As for Moors session play, instead of trying to fix it could you just remove it, all it ever does is cause griefing...assuming it works at all.

They should NEVER be inferior, they should be equal in a way that benefits PvP. (PvP gear should be better for pvping then raid gear, and raid gear should be better for raiding then pvp gear)

From what I have seen that is finally the case, though pvp set is also better for soloing not just Moors (And some of the rings & cloaks are just totally better then anything. Compared to the Draigloch set and the various non pvp rings I have seen)

    Agreed with the Above.

Just Remove Session play, as it's broken and unbalanced, and extend the timer for the rank 10 cloaks for the freeps, especially the ones on the smaller servers.

(Wow, I just proposed changes to help freeps, I must have a feaver)

The timer of the quest and cloak have to go, the rank is ok.
I thought there already was a way to see who have been doing pvp alot by the ranks.
And please don't be serious to make a epic cloak and then remove it from the game,
change this please this is not a good idea

I'd have to echo some similar sentiment about the rank titles. As it is, there are no titles based on rank, and getting to high rank means a significant investment of time regardless of whether you did it already, or will do it in the future.

I think if there will be a title based on having a high rank, it should either always be available, or have other titles available for rank that aren't limited by times.

Beyond that, the changes look good. Should encourage a bit more activity than just camps at rez/oc/ec/grams/gv. I'm hoping we'll see the creep PvMP dev diary tomorrow.

The screenshots of the weapons are older versions. The DPS has been decreases on them, I think about 121.0 dps. Also the RK Riffler has Offence/Healing on it, I think around 800.

Re: Rise of Isengard: Dev Diary Feedback: Monster Play Changes – Freep

Would it be possible to have the cloak/title be based on time played?

I've been moorsing since fairly early in SoA, but as a serial altaholic, I don't have a toon that i could easily get to rank 10 before october 31st, but i do have about 6 characters between rank 6 and 8, and easily have enough renown to be a rank 10 if it was all in one place.

This rank restriction seems a bit of a slap in the face to people in my position. I know I'm not the only one either, I can think of at least 7 or 8 friends that have been moorsing since SoA but due to playing a number of characters, their highest rank is about 8, in most cases having 2 or 3 toons around rank 8 (easily rank 10 worth of renown, all alts considered).

I disagree about the rewards being inferiror to instances, they should be on par - but in a completely different direction (to benefit the PvMP style of play).

To get the full armour set you need Rank 9, and I think Rank 8 for the class items, then 4 and 6 for jewellery, which is not easy to get for most players. Imagine the grind to get kindred with all rep factions and put them together, you still probably fall short of how much time is put in to get rank 9.

This effort compared to someone running a few easy 6 mans instances a handful of times and being able to get get superior gear.... hmmm not sure.
