You people expect update after update for this to be fast. Honestly? i've learned turbine BLOWS HARD trying to get this to work, so i set aside the entirety of today to going to class, coming home, and doing all my school work. (then some forum reading for entertainment purposes, i like seeing all you people cry

anyways, i'll be back around 9pm est when i predict the servers will be online.

Hmm, come on people, you all should at least have some experience with these kind of patches..
That the servers are still off is absolutely normal compared to the total mayhem we probably will encounter in-game.

If you can't stand the stress, or don't have the patience, take a break and come back tomorrow.

in short, patching for an expansion on patch day = madness.

I was just able to fully patch up, in France.

However the login server appears to be down still ("Login Server Error").

It would appear Patience does not exist in some peoples dictionaries.

Took me 3 hours to finally get past the connect screen, All patched up now.
Now to wait for servers to come online

It just isn't good enough, this whole debacle. They should be learning from past miscalculations, and it's clear the whole Migration thing didn't teach them anything.

The next patch, can someone from Turbine actually say you're going to do something to prevent this situation to happen?

Finally connected and is on update game data 186/5080

Though I wish when the connection was rejected due to the server being full, it would simply say so, instead of the 'No Connection' message that doesn't tell you what's actually going on.

Any way to implement something like that in the future?

I think if folks knew that the server was actually DOWN at a certain time vs simply being FULL, that a lot of rational people would view it differently, and it might sooth some chapped nerves.

Im not stuck examining I cannot get past connect. It says cannot connect and the counter starts until the next attempt.

Do I leave the counter running ad nauseum or do i click the x and reload the launcher.

Last but not least, if RoI launches tomorrow, are we indeed downloading it today???

wonder how many of the connection errors are from outside of America and are because we get more lag connecting to the patch server from say the EU now the local servers are gone.

Tried to leave the launcher open and been restarting it for the past hr with no success. still stuck at failed connection. patch servers might as well be down

I usually defend Turbine on most matters, but this is a joke. The instructions don't work, and does Turbine really expect us to sit for hours closing and opening the launcher in the hope that it might connect, let alone begin the patching process?
