    New Rallying Cry Animation?

    Noticed this just now:

    A little different angle:

I don't like it personally, it definitely doesn't go well with my hammer .

Yes, I noticed it too--posted here about it, because there seems to be a delay in heal application compared to the old animation: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...imation-delays

I don't know if there's a new audio with it.

    YAY another hammer wielding Cappie

I agree I don't like the animation, I think it looks kind of angry and aggressive, and the fact it doesn't seem to apply the heal until after the animation is stupid for a fast skill....I know many hated the shortened animation we had, but at least when I hit my heal it healed!

After reading that other thread I hope it's a bug, just hope it doesn't take until the next update to fix it and the other issues there

The cause for the delay in healing for Rallying Cry will be corrected. Its only the female captains that have the delay in case all you guys are wondering what they are talking about.

I don't like the animation either. Mostly I don't like the little shake when holding the weapon over my head. It looks like some kind of palsy.

I have to agree I think the new animation is horrible, and hope that the delayed heal is fix quickly for us female captains.

My captain, Ildur, is not female . I don't have a delay, I just noticed the new animation. Torena is indeed a female captain, though the player is not a female .

Thanks for the speedy reply Graal. I definitely don't like the new animation, but good to know its not a bug.

I for one like the new animation, seems more 'assertive' than the previous one used to be. And smoother too.

I like the new animation. The motion is animated well and it's nice to see a new animation rather than a re-hash of an old one.

I too like the new animation. The odd little skip/jump you did with the old one was kind of annoying at times. This one looks more like you're brandishing your weapon.

I like the new animation. It kinda makes it seem like your weapon is the catalyst or focus that the power comes from.

It looks especially cool when you do Time of Need -> Rallying Cry. Time of Need has you sort of hold your weapon in front of you and brandish it menacingly (correct me if I'm wrong), which leads into the new raised weapon Rallying Cry nicely. It's sort of an "If you're too scared to bring it to us, we'll bring it to you!" gesture.

    Re: New Rallying Cry Animation?

Why do they NEVER put stuff like this in the patch notes? What's the point then? I thought the purpose is to notify players of ALL the changes to the game. This makes less than zero sense.

the new animation is ridiculous... makes it look like my Captain holds a halberd the weight of a toothpick, by the amount of shaking it goes through with ease... the last animation was better, in my opinion...
