Glad you liked. And I would go a little further:

Like spiders climbing things (rocks, hills, fallen trees) that others can't (like that hill behind Lugz)? Or even jump higher than others, to reach levels that others can't. I'm not saying that spiders should climb TA walls (that would be great), I'm just saying that spiders should reach what freeps reach when riding horses.

And "Jesus Walk"? Like some spiders in nature, be able to walk over the water (no speed reduction and even a nice animation, like Legolas walking over the snow), what do you think?

I am not in Palantir but if I was to guess out of the three it is most likely ignored.

Loving it so far. Loving the suggestions from other players, as well.

The sorry state of creeps recently is simply just not fun. For creeps or freeps. I'm hoping update 6 brings some long over do and much needed changes. Judging from warg and spider updates, they're off to a good start.

Nice to see the weaver getting some much needed attention.

Some generic observations that are not spider specific.....(though my anemic spider dps got me thinking about it)

I think part of the balance challenge in the moors is the uncapping of stats and mit consolidation.

While giving flexibility in builds on freepside, creepside now faces the spectrum of light/medium armor freeps with 6k morale all the way to heavies with 50%+ mits and 11-12K+ morale. Add in that the majority of freep classes (especially the heavies) have strong defensive cooldowns - it seems to have become difficult to balance creep DPS. Dial up creep DPS too high and the light armor/lower morale toons blow up, too low and the heavies are near impossible to take down solo in any reasonable amount of time. Just wondering if the gap has become too large, especially considering that decent DPS is still possible on some of the more bloated morale freep classes/builds (relative to creep DPS).....if that ramble made any sense

These are excellent ideas because the Weaver has always been a hybrid class. I've always viewed weaver dps as being much lower than it should have been so its great to see such an improvement.

But from what I'm reading so far these changes seem to emphasize dps and combat rather than their original CC and support role, so I'm concerned about how this would affect playstyles. I would like to see their support role increased even more, especially for raiding. The notion of providing the class with a melee "heal" would tie close combat with survivability, as well as the need to actually stay in-combat long enough to reap the benefits. This will put a strain on power levels and regeneration rates if they are not scaled up to meet the demands of sustained combat. The choice of selecting a big heal or a huge dot doesn't quite add up to another playstyle.

However, if it turns out in the dev diary that their web skills can also benefit from this same mechanic (in the support role) then I would be pleasantly surprised and say that it's just what this class needs.

Kelsan, any idea if avoidances or resistances will be increased as well?

    Weaver resistances and avoidances?
    Oh yes...

What I've listed in the post is purely the new supplemental mechanics that we've added to the Weaver to bolster their rotations and dps. When I say "The general concept was to make the Weaver a late-game threat by weakening her opponent while bolstering her own abilities." I mean it. The revisions to the Weavers skill and traits was focused on the defensive/stalking side.

This is what I wanted to see the most.

I might blow the cobwebs off of my rank 9 spider. It has been retired since the whole class got broken along with their hatchling.

How long ago was that? Must be at least a year.

I'd love to see something like this. I believe captain's have a fluff skill that makes people kneel to them.

Having weaver's shroud defeated victims in webs would be fun.

By defensive do you mean through cc? and if so should we look for more cc becoming available to the weaver class in the future?

I'll reserve judgement on the work until I see all the changes live but the provisional work is impressive.

I am curious on how a hobbit flop or a mini's feign death will affect the venom pips. Along with if we will be considered out of combat when we use trapdoor sanctuary.

    Re: Weaver in Update 6

Glad to hear my favorite creep class is getting some love, although I am a bit nervous as always when changes are made. Thanks, Kelsen for the improvements. Please keep in mind that while we want to have a chance in fights, we don't want godmode like the minis got. At least I don't.... which is why I play my weaver now instead of my r10 mini. :\

Really love the idea of a safefall/dangle skill for weavers similar to burgs. Please consider for a future update

    Re: Weaver in Update 6

In addition to a safefall type skill, I'd like to see an ability that allowed for spiders to scale UP walls, bridges, pillars, etc.,
I think it would be a good counter against freeps who like to pew from uptop of pillars/keeps and could add a new fun dynamic to fights, while also opening a ton of tactical raid applications.
