Name says it all......
Was bad enough they think they had to give us a full week of it.
Worse if they have extended it to the 9th like the Annivessary event.

Hmmm, I'm rather enjoying it. It's great when you're working on your ninth alt. I can see how it would be annoying your first time through though.
Frieja - Minstrel on Landroval (formerly of Brandywine)
Since it was a long weekend, I doubt it. You could always log in and look.
I managed to get 4 more levels on my 4th alt this weekend, so it wasn't 'stupid' in my opinion.
I'm guessing it will probably end either today or tomorrow morning at some point.
Me personally, I would love it if it extended until the 9th, but I'm not holding my breath.

Unless they decide to extend it, today is supposed to be the last day.
Officer and elder member of the Claws of Abigail kin.
Oh my god not another thread rehashing the same tired argument.
It's still on right now. I bet it will be turned off tomorrow morning.
A spaceship from another star / They ask me where all the people are
I tell them I'm the only one / There was a war, but I must have won
Nothing Tired or rehashed about it.......
It is a legit complaint of those that do not need Double XP to advance...................
A weekend is one thing and fine.
A week or more is stupid to force on everyone.
2 days of withdrawls I can handle more then that I get the Shakes.........LOL
But really my Characters level fast enough with the Easy mode they have made Lotro.
I sure do not need additional Speed to level up.
For my part, I hope the double experience goes down tomorrow as scheduled. It's been fun while it's lasted (and I have a new alt to show for it), but I'm in no hurry to race another to the level cap. I like to enjoy the story and the scenery along the way.

Running LOTRO on a 27" iMac 3.5 GHZ intel Core i7 (with Nividia GeForce GTX 780M and 32 GB RAM) using Mavericks OSX 10.9.4
I hope they continue it for the remainder of the festival.....or allow us to buy levels in the Store..tired of leveling alts doing same thing over and over again.....
I've never understood this mentality. How does your level prevent you from completing quests or exploring areas?
Actually whats tired and rehashed is people like you that think they have to read every post/threadon the topic and make some tired rehashed post about there being other topics about it.
You saw the title do not read if your not interested. Simple solution to your problem
I love it hope it lasts as long as possible.
Playing since 9/11/2006
It's more fun if they aren't too easy, well, for me personally. Also if I'm outleveling my current quests too fast (as is happening on my tiny burg at too quick a rate), it makes class deeds feel even more grindy as I'm using skills just because I need to complete the deed not because they might actually be useful at that moment (such as the burglar tricks.) Stuff dies too fast.
An xp boost is nice here and there and it's good people have enjoyed and benefited from this one. But I do agree, it's time to turn it off.

It doesn't.
Perhaps the OP should tell us how many extra lvls he got with the double xp bonus.
From my point of view at lvl +50 the amount of xp per mob kill is not even relevant.
I believe the more happy with this bonus are the vips who must reach lvl 20 to get the riding skill and be able to do the horse races for the anniversary horses.
Please ignore my ridiculous running animation.
I'm for the extension I have no characters at the cap even though I've been playing for years.
I've recently been making headway on all of my characters do I don't feel like I'm languishing any more.
I got my 3rd toon into Moria yesterday thanks to the boost getting 3 levels in about 6 hours.
The difference is almost negligible for some of my toons like my main at 67 who's doing the last Mirkwood quests because I don't have the Isengard content yet.
This would have to be great for F2pers as well especially when they TP grind.
The Lone Wolf
Radspakr 85 Guardian,Haluilas 82 LM, Varri 65 Champ
To keep the hijack going, it's so easy and quick to get to 20, despite what I said before, I can't imagine why a VIP would bother wasting 95 TP on the riding skill.
Now's a good time for a "you all don't know how easy you have it compared to the old days when you had to wait until level 35 to get the riding skill and then do that annoying series of delivery quests before you could do the race course quest" comment.
Well Lets see being I do not have JUST ONE character and being I do not want to out level any of them in thier regions
I was forced to stop doing anything constructive Questing and Skirms and Instances to avoid all this unwanted unneeded Bonus XP..................
I have been doing grey deeds until it got mind numbing borring........
I did festival quests to get tokens for my Toons to Get maps for cartographer deed and decorations for my House and Kin House even did enough on a couple characters to get the Fireworks laden Mount.
While I hate the Bonus XP I do love the festival and this mount.
I am not a mount collector but having this one is fun and cool looking.
Here let me Quote someone who explains it Much better then I can....................
Imagine a level 25 Character Parked to Help Kinnies and friends in GB.
A 55 parked in Moria to do the same.
Imagine the posibilities the fun and the revenue stream for Turbine.
Think about it from Turbines viewpoint. The quicker you outlevel the area you're in, the quicker you're going to stump up TP for the next zone, the quicker you are wanting to spend TP for pots and endgame items, the quicker you get to using legendaries and need scrolls for them, etc etc.
Double XP makes Turbine money. Turbine have to make money somehow. It's in their interest to rush people to endgame to get as much money from them as possible, as quickly as possible, before some other game comes along and attracts that player away.
I'm the gigalo with the most below.
