    Question about perma-bans.....

I know someone who recently was given a perma-ban for allegedly buying gold for RL money. I personally belive this to be false. But my question is how is someone to appeal or state their case if Turbine will not answer the requests? This person has asked for an appeal and other people have asked Turbine to re-check the facts here. However, no one from turbine has even answered these requests. There have been tickets dropped, email sent to Nod or whoever is supposed to answer the rmt@turbine.com stuff. If a mistake has been made with the ban, how in the world is anyone supposed to be able to appeal the decision when Turbine will not answer the requests? I would really like an answer on this. Please!

It is a violation of the CoC and ToS to discuss disciplinary action on the Open Forum.
Turbine will only respond to request for escalation and review from the person involved
not outsiders hearing only one side of the story.
Chat logs and in game action records are permanate, Stories of what happened usually changes in the telling.

    Re: Question about perma-bans.....

Nick's correct, but as some of your questions are general I'll try to address those.

First, the only person we can discuss any issue with is the individual involved. More specifically the person who owns the accont. Appeals on behalf of a friend will not be replied to because we cannot discuss the situation with others (also a large part of the reason we don't discuss issues like this on the forums). The best course of action is for the person who has been banned to CALL account support during our normal support hours.

We also cannot comment to anyone other than the person involved on the actions leading up to a ban. What I can absolutely tell you is that there is never a case where a player has their game account suspended or perma banned without very clear evidence.

Without meaning to suggest anything or imply anything to the current situation, I can say that I have had a number of players approach me during public events and state their case. When investigating it later and looking at logs and reports...let's just say some important details were omitted from the comments made in person.

So with all of that said, my best advice to the OP is to have your friend CALL account support.
