That was what I was experiencing after the forums came back up, but everything seems to be ok now.

I see same issue - clicking lots of times to get result, previous click "finishes" action but leaves me where I was prior to clicking...

    Re: Forum issues?

I like that the odd ordering of posts is back again.

On my view of this thread, someone replied at 6 a.m. to a post written four hours later, at 10 a.m.

Edit: Ha! And I just managed to post this four hours in the past. Who knew that MMO forums could somehow produce small tears in space-time?

    Re: Forum issues?

Fo me the page is stretched out beyond the edges of my screen. I have to scroll left and right to see everything which is annoying. This is the only web page that does it, so I know it isn't my system...

Just as a note, this post was made at 1:40 PM not 9:36 AM. I wasn't even up at 9:36 AM.

Tried to reply but it ate my reply

Threads are messed up, posts are appearing out of sync, reply and submit only refreshes the page.

Yes, but it's in open beta now, so presumably it will go live soon.

    Re: Forum issues?

Forums are wonky for me too. I am (or at least was) randomly getting the "under mainentance" screen, thread lists are not updating properly, CSS is all over the place now and then, clicking on a thread brings me back to the list view. Clearly something's gone wrong.

    Forums are cooked for now.

See you all later. Like tomorrow. Can't enjoy them like this...

    Re: Forum issues?

You can sometimes click a forum section and it'll just refresh the current page instead of going there, same with clicking REPLY TO THREAD. I had to click the thing twice to reply here. Often it also refreshes the page when you want to submit the reply. I recommend copy pasting your entire reply before you click submit so you can paste it back in incase it does that.

    Re: Forum issues?

getting similar problems here too, appart from the usual having to click twice to enter the forums the first time or the usual loggout for no apparrent reason

    • CSS appears not to be applying correctly on random occasions, or the text will be absolutly huge
    • random appearances of the not available
    • not realy my problem but still a problem none the less. forum posts appearing with wrong time stamps. ie this thread is showing as 2pm (BST) but the forums only came back at arround 5pm (BST) theres other threads too.
    • posts appearing out of sync.. ie this thread, somebody quoted before the poster supposedly posted the reply. ie nickeysmom quoting mark_j
    • having to click on some boards 2, 3, 4 times or more before the board will actualy open, had to click on the reply button on this thread 3 times to reply

    Re: Forum issues?

I'm having to double click or more to get links to work, and those are Turbine links to Turbine forum or community sites, not off site sites...lol. Clicked forum about 3 x just now, clicked this thread link 5 x, only once to respond. Pretty odd.

We're looking into it. It appears to be some odd caching issues after the maintenance.

    Re: Forum issues?

I'm having to click on links 3-4 times to get the right page to come up.

I had to click the Dev Tracker three times for it to work.

Had to click on the "Next Page" link in several threads multiple times to get the next page to come up.

I'm also having issues... although I've -always- had to click the "Forum" tab twice for it to work. It even does that on my phone.

Trying to post again. This post was made at 1:41 PM (the last one said I posted at 9:36 AM).

I tried completely clearing my cache, but that didn't help either.

And, as far as I know, the maintenance downtime was for the *game*, and the forums were supposed to have been up all the time and unaffected.

    /sigh

Remember, the forums aren't Turbine's software, they're vBulletin's. I'm sure that somebody at Turbine is on the phone to somebody at vBulletin even as we type, relaying a LONG list of bug reports and saying "SO FIX IT ALREADY, [string of cusswords]!!"

As I said on some other post (after the last of many attempts finally succeeded), this isn't a new problem, it's a recurrence of an old one.

So is the game working, though? I've been doing housework 'n' stuff and haven't tried to log in yet.
