As I was riding through Bree, I noticed a poster attached on a pillar that supports the house close to AH on the way to crafting hall. Weird. It's some new lowbie stuff I assume, level 14 quest.
What else have you noticed?

I heard rumors of Ettenmoor consumables, such as pots and food, would have increased commendations costs with Update 7. It was not in the release notes as far as I could see, could anyone confirm if the price is increased?

My female hobbit (burg, haven't checked minnie) seems to have gained a LOT of weight in the hips and nether-regions. She eats a lot of pie, but since last night? Not that much.![]()

The new questchain in Bree is indeed a low lvl quest that involves no fighting (though you have to pass some bree-land landscape, so you might get agro from the normal mobs). They involve three new interiors inside of Bree and two in Stadle. Cause after update 6 these doors where marked lvl90 only, I suspect those updates where supposed to be part of that update but weren't ready at the time. It looks like the chain is an introduction to acceleration tomes cause thats what the end reward is.
My female hobbit mini has undergone the same change.
The extra weight around the middle looks badly proportioned compared to the rest of her body, like someone stuck it on with sellotape, in the wrong place. And they've taken away all muscle/flesh she had down her arms, leaving skinny sticks in place of the fleshed out shoulders she had before.
Incredibly unhappy over this unannounced and awful change. Sincerely hope it doesn't stay like this.

Dear god I am already having a bad morning as it is with this update & now they had to mess with my hobbits. I dont know if I even wanna log into one to see. LOL
I really hate that hopping animation of weapon when you are running, its extremly annoying, especially with halberd and it looks bad too. Whoever has this idea never played the game, i guess.
Well I logged into one of my hobbits. I really noticed it on ones wearing pants. Reminds me of that family on SNL that had the big butts. LOL
Please get this fixed & the sound issues!
Picture of hobbit model change or it didn't happen. As far as I can see, my hobbit hasn't got fatter of slimmer or had any changes to her physically..

I heard we can get ALL Rift cosmetics now. Not sure if it's in patch notes right now and lazy to check :P

The price is effectively increased, yes. Prior you update 7 you received 10 items for 125 comms. You now get 5 items for 125 comms. A Blue posted in the BR forums that this is a bug, but I don't see it listed under known issues, so I have bugged it. Hope everyone else does too.

Confirmed...commendation cost of pots, food, etc has doubled for creeeps. (well, cost is still 125 but you only get half the amount of pots).
you want a screenshot, get it yourself
...-what is a Hobbit? I suppose hobbits need some description nowadays, since they have become rare(unlike the numbers of people who have NEVER READ The Hobbit) and shy of the Big People, as they call us. They are (or were) a little people, about half our hright, and smaller than the bearded dwarves. Hobbits have no beards. There is little or no magic about them, except the ordinary everyday sort which helps them to disappear quietly and quickly when large stupid folk like you and me come blundering along, making a noise like elephants which they can hear a mile off. They are inclined to be fat in the stomach; they dress in bright colours(chiefly green and yellow); wear no shoes, because their feet goes natural leathery soles and thick warm brown hair like the stuff on their heads(which is curly); have long clever brown fingers, good-natured faces, and laugh deep fruity laughs(especially after dinner, which they have twice a day when they can get it). Now you know enough to go on with.
The above is from The Hobbit, page 10, except for my comment about never reading The Hobbit. Sorry kiddies, sometimes movie just ain't enough. Sometimes you should <gasp> acually read a book. What a novel concept(no pun intended). "inclined to be fat in the stomach'...fat in the stomach is part of the swollen condition in the middle that also includes wide hips and a fat butt. 'long clever brown fingers'... with forearms like Popeye? I think not
Sounds to me like the changes to Hobbit appearance is in keeping with what Tolkien wrote. If you want a slim and trim character try an elf. Burglary has exactly nothing to do with being slim and trim. It has everything to do with being clever and quiet. Hobbits excell at clever and quiet and if those complaining about appearance had bothered to read The Hobbit they wouldn't be complaining.

Warden Changes
1. Bunch of new tooltip errors (new line returns didn't work and nobody noticed this in the tooltip before posting it live?)
2. Spear+Shield mastery now works properly in Battle Preparation, instead of adding ONLY the Spear to gambit.
The skill you can spam in Battle Preparation against enemies without removing the Battle Preparation remains unchanged.

I know very well how hobbits are intended to look from the lore.
Perhaps you should bother to read the posts in question, instead of just trying to make a smart alec reply from the books.
Strangely, I didn't take close up body and face screenshots of my hobbits previous to the update. While it doesn't appear to have affected all female hobbits, I (and the other posters in their thread) can assure you there has been a change. Perhaps it only affects those that chose a particular body type, or setting. Who knows.
There's a big difference between a hobbit appearing to have eaten a few extra pies.. and one thats wearing a fat costume, that doesn't clip, sit right against most cosmetics, or look at all like a hobbit.

Go stealth on your Warg...you can hardly see yourself. >.<
They also added invisible walls at rooftop access points, no more rooftop exploration in Bree. >.<
If I can't see it on my hobbit, either it hasn't occured or I'm blind (Which I am almost :P)
So therefore it must be the smallest little change, I ask you this: Why in gods name does such a small little change bother you? It's like the Star-icon on bags when you pick up something new, I can't for the life of me understand how people can be bothered by such insignificant things.
I'm not having a go at any of you, I'm simply asking a question.

Sounds like you are belittling folks concerns, why would they take it well? Do everyone else's priorities match yours in your experience? Heck, I could care less about cosmetics, but accept that they are absolutely critical to some folks enjoyment. And the fact that you don't see a bug doesn't mean it doesn't happen -- the lag issues hitting some folks were devastating. Hope you didn't jump into the threads and say that because you didn't see the issue it didn't happen to THEM...
This German thread says that it only applies to some of a single user's hobbits, and the difference was quite obvious to that person:

So I guess some think I'm now crazy, but when I just now logged in with my little Hobbit Rogue did, I had to unfortunately knock-knees and see the fattest figure that you can initially create the char creation! And I've created somewhat slim in those days!
...
On my hunter, women also lean Hobbit, everything is normal not only for my Rogue,! I should write a bug report, said the nice GM. Yes super ...

I'd recommend filing a bug report as Sapience suggested. I logged onto my female hobbit, who is wearing leggings, to see the difference, and I don't note any, so it's possible that there's some sort of a bug causing the change on some female hobbit characters! Sorry it's affecting you, but glad mine doesn't seem to have gained any weight overnight!![]()
