I am having some of the same problems. Mostly I do not even get to the login in screen. It just locks up at some random point . Task Manager says it still running but nothing is happening.

Time to go play Minecraft. :-)

Some of you need to chill out, and realize that sometimes these unexpected errors or downtime happens. Even for professional companies. It's not their fault. So, what? They decided to randomly shut us out for no reason? Please.

I'm getting the world queue error 500 as well. So what am I going to do? Sit back, be patient, and watch the LotR movies while I wait for it to be fixed.

Btw, to all those ever complaining people, this could have been a chance to take a break and go out to get some fresh air. Fixing shouldn't be easy. Next time why don't YOU fix it instead of just complaining?

Again, they have been posting. Obviously the problem they're having is taking longer than anticipated to fix. We're all in the same boat. Just relax, read a book for a bit and you'll be back on before you know it

They need to learn how to do maintenance and updates on the game and forums without breaking 20 other things.

So earlier I had an error 50000, but... now I can't even get that far to get the message. I added the three lotro program files to my firewall exceptions on Windows 7, but it still just gets stuck at Logging in... I googled this problem and it's not in any of the links so I logged into here for the first time to look for help. As I said it just gets stuck at Logging in... I've been playing for awhile now but this happens...

It's not about "taking a break" (of course ) or "bad things happens", of course they are, I truly know it from professional experience, no problem with that, really.

Thing is, it's not the problem.
The problem is communication, and by communication I don't mean things like "we know it's down" after 1h. Heck I hope you know!

I mean, what I was doing when things like that happened, posting *real* information, like (supposition ) "We had a problem on our database cluster forcing a consistency check that we initially thought would be possible online, and due to charge it's not, so we need to shut down it a while".
Or even "a hamster eat our power supply" :')) I don't know, just real information, and in time, that's just what people want.

Actually now I just crash to desktop after getting past the 'choose your subscription' and right before the launcher loads into Arkenstone. No joy on logging into the game...

Seeing as the problem has been "fixed" it's definately wai. Customers makes running a company so much harder since they just want to complain about things not working...

A friend has freshly installed LOTRO and has been trying to log in but keeps getting Error 50000. Any idea what might be causing this or where we should first look to fix it?
