I'm so incredibly honored as I was back then! And I still wear that outfit religiously. But, on that mount, my outift is a fashion faux pas. I'm shocked it hasn't been replaced with something less atrocious. *bow*



Goldenstar, what do you think about the 'instanced' festival grounds? The store advertising and the inability to mount has be incredibly angered. I haven't participated in this festival at all because it feels fragmented....

I actually don't have a problem with them being instanced. I actually really like the set up they have for taste of Hobbiton where it's just a circle around a lake they run around eating. The area is busy but not packed to the point that i can't find the race-master to place my bet. Also it appears that the timer to turn in your winnings was removed and that was sometimes stressful to try to run back through all the lag to turn in the quest for the tokens before the next race began. Now the guys are standing near each other so it's easy peasy.

I guess I didn't try to get on my mount in there or if I did I just shrugged it off as an "indoor area" and didn't give it much thought. It's not that large of a space and the only the dwarf one requires any running about if you do that quest in there. Most of the time I just target the guy I'm betting on and stand on the shore and watch him/her run about (and then get ready to collect my consolation prize lol). I'm not one of the folks that chase my racer Hobbit about.

The advertising with this festival has been no different from past festivals with the festival ticket reminders unless there's more that I'm missing. We do have the opportunity to collect more tokens with this festival since it is 4 every 2 hours instead of 3 for the day - although I admit i'm not going in every 2 hours to get my tickets

I think the only bummer at this point is not being able to run the dwarf races. There is a deed associated with it which takes a fair bit of luck to complete and right now it's not even possible to run. I know Turbine tried resetting the festival yesterday to fix those invisible dwarves but it doesn't appear that it corrected the issue just yet.

I said it on the podcast so I'll be honest here as well to say that Summer is my least favorite festival but that's because I find fishing (in-game or out) to be very dull and not something I enjoy. I know that there are folks who love this festival and find the fishing hobby enjoyable so that's just a personal preference
