Also, just to clarify, kinships will not be included in the top 5 in relation to the banner and soundtracks, correct? I am also assuming donations made in a business name will be considered individuals?
    Good questions!

For the top 5 donors it's cumulative. So if you make 4 donations of $50 each, that's $200 you've donated and your total donation will be counted as $200. Provided you made them all under the same name. So making 2 in your kinship's name and 2 in your name, means your kin gets credit for $100 and you get credit for $100.

Kinships are not included in the top 5 because they have their own competition to get a lottery named after them. That and it's hard to say "This group of 20 people get this one thing that they'll have to fight over". So the lottery makes more sense as it recognizes the contribution of the group.

Also, EVERYONE who donates gets the titles. Whether it's $1 or $1,000.

Everyone is also part of the chance to win the 1500 point codes and the 5th CD set of all three sound tracks.

There are two more goals waiting once we get past the $6,000 mark for the Horseshoe that will be open to everyone who donates. But I'll keep those under my hat for now.

Meanwhile, on the flip side, DDO_Tolero and I have combined forces. While I can't offer cool things like Horseshoes, I can offer the opportunity of public embarrassment.

Tolero and I have agreed that if she is able to hit $1,200 in raised funds, we will shoot a video of us fighting with boffer weapons in our LARP costumes and post it to YouTube for everyone. I will fight with my war maul, and she will be fighting with her polearm. And, even better news! She's only 200 dollars away from hitting that goal!

So, what will your choice be -- a horseshoe, or seeing two community managers beat one another with boffer weapons in the parking lot? Will you choose ancient, hidden secrets, or nerds in costumes flailing at one another in public?

The choice is yours, and yours alone! Good luck.

So I'll start sorting out the live stream details and figure out a time. I will say it will be during the afternoon on Saturday October 20th. I will, as required, roll a completely green Reaver and I will make it known who I am and where I am, plus I'll tweet a link to the live stream from my personal twitter account.
For a name maybe the Reaver should be call --Sapience (as we all all know minus a minus and it is a +)

Looking over the donations list, I can guess which one is yours. Very nice, and well done indeed! Those that wish we could give more love it when we see others do so!

He's also pushed us to the next goal! $6,500 and 7 donors at random will get the Riders of Rohan soundtrack on CD.

Sorry for the double post, but have a question on the in-game title. I know the code for the title is being emailed. Will that code only work on one subscription? I'm asking because I have more than one subscription on my account, and it would be nice to have it on all the subs (though far from necessary). It would also be nice for those kins that are giving to for everyone in the kin that joins the kin pool and gives to be able to get the title instead of just one person. So wondering if the codes will be reusable or if it will be possible to get more than one...

For those donating as a kin it will be the responsibility of the person (or persons) making the donations to make sure I have an email address I can reach them at. They can then provide me with the names of those who donated (so I can add the forum titles) and I can then either give that person the codes for the in game title or PM the donors directly.

If you have more than one account, I can sort that out for you when I start sending out the codes.

Wow! What an excellent day in donations! When I woke up to goto class this morning you were around $350 away from the $5,000 goal for the Ettenmoors. Now that I am home from you have completely sailed far beyond that goal and on past other new goals! Completely awesome job Sapience and the community! And a special thanks to Thomas for his astonishing generosity.

With that said, I'm still hoping for a $10,000 Buffalo Wild Wings Blazing Challenge goal

PS: So, about that horse shoe?
    EDIT: NM, Horseshoe Info here

    Funny donating moment

Me: Checks website and see we are $1 away from $6,500. I donate $1. Twitter says I have new tweet seconds after clicking donate button. Tweet is from Sapience

Sapience(on twitter): Ok nobody donate $1 right now, @ $6499 and I’m watching Big Bang Theory and can’t update the page with a $7k goal right now.

Me(replies on twitter): Too late I just donated $1.00

Sapience(on twitter): Oh sure so of course someone donates exactly $1. LoL

    LOL! It's true!

Now I have a mental block on a $7,000 goal. I have an $8,500 goal in mind but people gotta get there first! So, suggestions? You guys have had two great ones (Horseshoe and Ettenmoors). So let's hear it!

I'd like to see you make a lightweight LOTRO advertisement banner and fly it around behind one of your planes, like a full-size ad plane.
If you give away gold bars, someone will complain they're too heavy.

Now THAT is a cool idea! Have to think about that one. I have a plane that can pull it off, too!

    Some thoughts:

    1) Set up visits by fashion maven or housing awards to each server, or have it so folks put there server name in the donation and set off a server competition to see which one you visit.

    2) Share some information on how dye works out to the community (we know it's somehow related to the alpha channel, but can we get more than that without delving into something proprietary?) That combined with a clarification that writing software to process a screen shot for purposes of analyzing dye color of items might allow some adventurous folks with programming skills to come back to you with very specific suggestions on new dye colors (which is theoretically win/win since such dyes go in the store as well as scholar recipes)

    3) Find a suggestion from the forums and do "A development cycle in the life of a suggestion" as one of the future community updates to give us a sense of what it takes for you to drive that through production (obviously publish this after it gets released, so you're not leaking unreleased stuff)

    4) One randomly selected person gets to choose a horse to revisit the store (or again methods of setting off voting by dollar here)

    5) Everyone who donates gets a Horseshoe, regardless of whether it was selected in the Epic quest chain

Not sure any or all are feasible, but maybe that will at least spark some ideas.
