How Do You Gain Deeds/Traits Below Level?

    Hey all,

How do you complete trait deeds that involve quests if you're too high a level for the area?

For example, I want to get the +2 Innocence reward for completing "The Life of the Bounder [final]." This involves completing 75 quests in the Shire. However, as a level 30 Guardian, all the quest rings I've seen over hobbit heads have been grayed out. Is there any way to get around this sort of problem?

(By the way, the other deeds that gain Innocence all involve buying quest packs - I'm trying to hold off on that as long as humanly possible 'cause I'm pretty much still a poor college student. I'm sure you can identify. And if not, I envy you.)

You get the grey rings from quest NPCs either when you are too low level or when you are too high level. If you are too low level you won't be able to accept them as you already found out correctly.

But if the rings are grey because you are more then (I think) 10 levels above the quest-level, you still can right-click on the NPC and you will get the quests.

Go to your options panel. Under UI Settings, scroll down to almost the bottom. Under Misc. there will be an option to check for Show Trivial Quest Icons In Radar. Check that off and you're good to go.

    Ok thanks!

One final thing: I seem to remember something along the lines of grayed-out mobs not counting for slayer deeds - is that true? And how does it affect trait deeds?

Grey mobs count fine for slayer deeds, but they don't count for class skill deeds. i.e. Use Skill X 250 times on a mob will not count if used on grey mobs.
