Is it possible to port somewhere while you are a prisoner of Isengard? (Vollume III)

    Hi there!

I just got to the point in Vollume III where you are being held prisoner in Isengard. Very early upon arriving, I wondered if I could port out to, say, my milestone home. I was very curious about this, but I didn't have the guts to let the induction finish. (I had no desire to leave - I just want to know if it's possible to leave)

Cutting to the chase. Is it possible to teleport out of Isengard during this time as prisoner? If so, how do you get back there to finish the prison quest chains?

It's definitely possible to leave. I do know when it was first released that it was then impossible to go back. I would assume that has been fixed by now, but I don't know how. I know their original plan was to give you an item to use that would send you back.

Yes, leave all you want. Use the new map in your pack to get back.

Ah, I see. My inventory was quite full when I entered, and so I naturally didn't notice any new items in it.

    Thanks for the information!

Check your inventory. There should be an item (some shackles if i remember correctly) that will mention something about using them to get back to Isengard.

How to get back has already been mentioned, but I just wanted to add a little detail:

If you look at the tooltip for the item that ports you back, it tells you that you realize that you're stil a prisoner...

Basically, you porting out is your character reliving memories of a time before you were captured. I thought it was very cool.

You're not reliving memories, you are actually physically leaving Isengard with your character, going to the auction house, relaxing at your homestead, delivering pies in the Shire or whatever despite you still being a prisoner in Orthanc.
    Lore-breaking, to say the least.

Either Saruman has a really bad security system where prisoners can leave whenever they like, or he has a really good prison where prisoners keep coming back of their own free will.
