    Quest in Hytbolt, PROBLEM

    Hi,
I have such a problem. In Hytbold I made the first couple of Q, which offered me Edgal. In addition, however, does not show me no one with whom I would fix city. I also did not show any retailer that would sell me things about my character.

    My reputation:
    Sutcroft - Kindred
    Entwash Vale - Kindred
    Nortcroft - Ally
    Wold - Ally

You have failed to do the quest 'To Hytbold', Ask a GM in-game to resend the letter with the quest starter and that will get you fixed up =)
    Crell-L85-Champion - Riddermark ; Swego-L85-Burglar ; Kotvi-L95-Runekeeper
    Delego-L85 Hunter ; Stodden-L51-Captain ; Edhul-L61-Loremaster
    Deglorion - SoA XP Disabler

It contacted GM somehow differently than in the game via the Ticket? I do not have VIP, and GM did not contact me even once. GM caring only VIP players are pretty &&&&ty.

Check your mailbox and inventory for a letter that starts a quest. This will open up more options in Hytbold.

And GMs only contacting paying players is not s**tty, its business. You dont have to be VIP, you just have to have paid for something within the last 30 days (Points, game content, VIP).

This is not entirely correct. FTP and premium players can use the website to sent a ticket for ingame help. Use this site and click submit a ticket. Make sure to set your game as LOTRO, support team is LOTRO In-Game Support and I guess the rquest type is Quest Assistance.

That is strange...I had the same problem as you- no quest starter mail from Hytbold nor any rep quest givers inside the town. I sent a ticket, politely explaining my problem and after 15 minutes or so, a GM sent me that quest starter mail
I'm a premium user but I seriously don't think that they would just ignore free players....

oh and btw,I used that in-game help center thingie, don't think that it would make any difference

Account Username is the name of the character?

  9. #9
It is of course NOT your character name. Its the name you use to login into your account (on the login screen, on the forums and on the my.account site).

And yes, they also give ingame help for broken quests even if you´re not eligible for support. Might have to try and wait several times.

One might think that, but that is not necessarily true. It could very well be that in-game tickets are given priority as those people are online when they are sent; a far larger chance for GM's to contact the player in case they need additional information. The ticket submitted from the website is probably an e-mail. This means it can be sent while not being online and thus is given a lower priority.

It is also handy to check if turbine.com is not on your ignore list. If it is, Turbine could have sent an e-mail about it but it could not be delivered because of their top domain being ignored. Check your junk-mail folder as well.

Turbine's business model is simple: You pay, you get serviced.

Like someone said, you need to be VIP to use in-game support. Otherwise, your only option is to use the web support.

Premium subscribers also get limited support a number of days after your purchase, depending on how much you've paid:
    --
    $1.00 - 15 days
    $14.99 - 30 days
    $30.00 - 90 days
    $60.00 - 180 days
    $100.00 - 365 days
    --

&&&&ty deal for f2p's, decent enough for people who pay.

From reading around the forums the link to the npc's not arriving seems to be the breadcrumb letter quest that seems to have been removed from the game.

I hit 84 and got the deed reward but that was all the game told me about hytbold. It was the guide and lotro wiki that told me I needed to wander over that way myself to start the grind.

I'm now ally status with all four factions and done all the rebuild stuff that the guy by the meadhall gives. Each of the districts has a quest ring and the npc's have just refused to appear since they were unlocked over the past few days. Either by logging out, leaving the area and coming back (would have thought going to the shire would be far enough at least) or simply going afk near where they should spawn just incase they've lagged on loading.

Ticketed in game and /bugged it as well so hopefully something will be sorted otherwise I'm going to be retiring my 85 due to lack of things to do. I'm not going to grind out tokens if I cant hand in any more or get any kind of reward for doing so and the game doesnt play well enough for me in group setups for me to even consider that.

As stated above. GM's are just for VIPs and for a limited time to those who bought tp.

Actually, the times you presented is the time the in-game ticket system is present when you spent some cash on the game. After that time has expired, one can still contact the GM's using the ticket system via the link that I posted. In this form you fill out the field support team is mandatory and one of the options to select is "LOTRO In-game Support." This should mean that a GM is able to contact you while you are logged in, just like when you are VIP. And like with VIP's, if a GM tried to contact you while you were not online, it will be notified to you. In the case of the ticket via the site, the supplied e-mail address will be used. VIP's will get an answer in the in-game ticket system when not online.

I have a very hard tine beleving that people who are premium of FTP will not be able to receive the GM service. That would not make people stay with this game very long and would certainly not convince people to spent money on points or other paid services that are offered. Not offering help to FTP or premium members or for a very limited time, would be a very bad business move and thus not generate revenue. This in turn would result in the game being shutdown.
