deleted thread/post

Has anyone ever considered that maybe posts are getting deleted because they contain duplicates of the same information that can already be found elsewhere on the forums? It's not particularly helpful to anyone to have the same old stuff repeated constantly, and for a forum moderator to have to read the same posts over and over and over again, it must get rather tedious. You can almost forgive them for deleting posts that are 95% same old "i'm leaving" / QQ rubbish and only 5% info that is new and relevant. Seems like all you people are focussing on are those small tidbits of information, and use that to complain about the post being deleted!

I think people should post their goodbyes WITHOUT adding suggestions for game improvement. After all, if the dev's implement such improvements you won't be around to see them anyway, so it is pointless. Just saying. Unless of course you want to start an argument on your way out, sucking many other forum users into a "Turbine is the devil" kind of discussion, which of course would lead to post deletion. It's really quite simple. Good on the moderators for nipping this kind of thing in the butt early.

no i think it is just time for new moderation. To much favoritism and clamping down on certain perspectives. Less about order more about party line these days.


But that's just my take and someone who has post blow up or removed on a constant basis without reason or warning.


Kinda sad when censorship occurs and forums are navigated and directed instead of moderated. very big distinction.

If you're trying to get yourself banned from the forums, you're doing a great job. Comparing the mods here to Baghdad Bob is thoroughly obnoxious.

well when half my post are deleted for no reason I tend to have a problem with that.

and it is clear that who ever is doing it is censoring view points and silencing view points and not modering.

if I get banned for that I guess I just proved my own point.

oh yes, im sure *half* your posts are being deleted *for no reason* ahem... where i work, we delete posts on our forums all the time when people log on and bash our company *for no reason*

I wonder if the OP or anyone else got an infraction for posting in this thread. I can accept an infraction for discussing a deleted thread if the infractions are given our fairly to everyone who does so. Anyone else get an infraction for this?

Additionally, we love to hear feedback from players. We think posts that call for the replacement or termination of employees however is not feedback, it's inappropriate and unacceptable. Those posts will be removed every single time without exception.

Grandiose 'goodbye' threads were never permitted (a carry over from previous policies we have maintained to this day) and are, without exception, removed from the forums unless you are posting in your server forum a farewell to those you have played with throughout your time here.
