    question on reavers

Question for the reavers ….for some reason I have a harder time with high ranked reavers do most revers trait for higher physical mitigation vs tactical or are they just built this way …
Just a thought do certain classes (freeps) overpower (creeps) I know anyone can beat anyone obviously with a little skill but I am wondering does a class build or design by turbine put an edge on another say like my own class (Hunter) for the most part I feel pretty confident on beating Black arrows, wargs and weavers are they built with certain mitigation's that makes them more vulnerable to physical mastery attacks? I know they can trait for higher or lesser mitigation's of course and rank and player skill have a huge portion to do with it as well I have just been wondering

also I would like to know what classes (freeps) (creeps) match up well with each other in a 1v1 is it straight up beside the obvious classes that are their twins

    LM> all.

    Warden> all

Minstrel> all (although higher ranked reavers do some solid dps against this class)

    Did I miss anything?
Volodic- Rank 14 Minstrel- The first and the last Warlord of Nimrodel
Volobash- Rank 11 Blackarrow- Arkenstone, Nikitah's Bane
Volosavenger- Rank 9 Stalker- Landroval, The white warg

Well, some general things some reavers might do is:
    - Apply their +20% miss chance after a different wound effect, so you are stuck with it
    - Untrait fire damage, apply their -armour rating, for medium and light armours its pretty bad unless you stack physical mitigation. This can bring your mits to something like 20-30%.
    - They'll apply their dots then impale, so you might find yourself from 5k morale to 0 in a very short time

In my opinion classes that match up to reavers well are spear wardens that don't heal/trait shield.

Things that i keep in mind when fighting reavers is trying to pot their miss chance debuff and good movement, keybind your skills and mouse turn.

    Hope this will help.

Very few creeps will trait for mitigations, beyond the class trait for armour boost some classes have.

Reaver physical mitigations are proportionately higher than those for most other creeps, compared to tactical mits, but not drastically so.

My warg never had much trouble if I found you solo as your defensive skill use (dazing blow, cry of the hunter) were fairly predictable. Make sure you aren't wasting slow/stun skills for the reavers initial charge (you always used dazing or cry predictably so I would pre-stun pot and you would still waste it to no effect).

Reavers are a tough fight for a hunter if you don't have the innate survivability to get through their initial charge though.

Listing how every freep and creep stacks up against eachother 1v1 is a book I'm neither interested in writing nor fully qualified to speak about in many cases, suffice to say the player matters a lot more than the class.

so they are higher that's what i thought thanks ...and yes as i said i was wondering just say a BA and a hunter both max audacity hunter is decently geared with with same skill level in both players who would win does turbine give one class the edge? with mits for creeps vs gear for freeps ? yea who has edge ?
and i would LOVE to meet your wargie who knows u might get chance when transfers open up

Fair warning: BDC tries to 3 shot me, i KNOW that because she starts auto attacking if she doesnt get it xD

so, BA v Hnt, assuming every good BA has unslotted his Moving Target. Just a skill match up. Or a gear match up. Btw I know Im only r7 on both BA/Hnt, but i 1v1 alot so theres my source!

    -----
edit: try using light oils... the dots from fire oils have been falling off since lvl 65 =/ Also, I have to log in to double check this, but yes comparing tact to phy mits Creeps have a naturally higher phy mits than tact. Did i get it backwards? Oh and lastly Reavers can be immune to cc for quite a while, depending if that flexy muscleguy buff is on. If it isnt, you can punish them for a second and make them click it.

Dont let them be spanking your behind. A knife deals extra damage from behind. But yea, we're not made to fight reavers sadly, so gl. Can be done tho

I find it unrealistic to expect any reavers to come here and give away their secrets that would help you kill them. Maybe try a reaver yourself and educate yourself with the class skills, traits and mechanics.

    Reavers.

Reavers have high mits anyway so hitting big on a high rank reaver is hard but the thing which makes reavers lose to constantly slow them after brand and cc trait is gone they just lose. trait extra 30% and just kite and spank. also when they stack their bleeds try to get FAR away because a impale is coming

The problem with this kiting idea is that reavers can and will catch you now. Between resilience, blade toss and against the odds or w/e its called they will catch you and kill you before you can kite them to death.

literally all you have to do is build mits and crit, with maybe a little morale now. the hunter rotation isn't exactly brain surgery and since people can't even use the "oh first ages are so hard to get" excuse anymore there's really not much left to complain about. if I can dps a reaver down with nothing besides bracing attack in terms of defensive skills (ranked 20k+ morale etc) than a hunter shouldn't exactly have an issue starting from 30-40m.

of course excluding the situation where the reaver gets the drop

Only two hunters on this server scare me in a 1v1 situation, and I like it this way.

I think in those kind of fights its whoever starts it that will win. if a hunter can hit a reaver from a distance it would be nearly dead when it reaches the hunter but if the reaver charges and hits the hunter with blade toss and hamstring the hunter cant run and reavers can quickly take them down. I play a reaver and can solo a hunter as long as I get the charge in.

see one reason I didn't answer seriously is that i've never seen you alone, ever. which is the only time being knowledgeable about a class like the reaver will actually benefit you, and the thread seems like a thinly veiled "guise how do i roll over reavers easier as they are not made of butter like the other classes with the exception of warleaders"

I'm aware hunters have issues with reavers, mostly which are mitigated through:
    not keyturning, and
    doing good dps

I couldn't tell you the proper rotation for hunter as trying to level one 6 years ago bored me to tears and i only made it to 55, but I could certainly tell you what my combat log usually reads when I fight them. I think I did in my first post. Ironically those are hunters that actually manage to win.

I've seen Elk alone a few times, it never turned out well for him. Good guy, but at times it seems his son posts using his acct., I could be wrong though.
