These bands from distant lands are expected to perform on Landroval this year July 20th at the Fifth annual Weatherstock Concert. I’m sure they would appreciate seeing you there as at least some on the concert awards are based on popular vote by the audience. So get on over to Landroval and make yourself a character to attend the concert. Securuity there will assist low level alts with travel to Weathertop and security protection from monsters during the concerts.

by Makalaure Canafinwe
What is your role in Weatherstock?:
Makalaure - Band Leader of Andúnië
Have you performed in public as a band before?
Yes.
1. We have performed many times on both Landroval and Laurelin.
2. We have played for the well-attended Grand Elven Ball for several years on Laurelin.
3. We test our new songs each week and give impromptu concerts on both Laurelin and Landroval.
4. We were at Weatherstock last year and won the Light In The Dark award. We pride ourselves on original songs created by our members.
Band Members:
Andúnië band members are: Ancalimo, Earalenia, Earmoth, Elinnea, Fernith, Fionnuala, Lhasbelin, Makalaure, Miste, Nifferil, Phedelene, Taendis, Tamaren, Tuilieth. There are others but I am afraid I will spell their names wrong. :P Our members are from Russia, Europe, Australia and the USA.
Can you schedule a Weatherstock Concert Series performance on Landroval or your home server?:
Yes!

We are an all Elven group from many kinships who are drawn together by our love of music.
Introduce yourself or your band here.:
I am Makalaure and the band Andúnië is made of Elves who came together two years ago originally on the Laurelin server. I hesitate to say "my" band, even as bandleader, for each one of us is capable of leading and I know some are better than I am at the job so it's not really my band at all. We are a team. We also play in other bands for the enjoyment of it because we like and respect each other.
Each band member is extremely talented. Many of us are real life musicians and we create our own songs for game play with themes of Arda. We LOVE music and we hope it shows! Last year at Weatherstock we were the band that played the drum song written by Phedelene. This year we hope to be back with more original tunes that might wow you!

We play EVERY friday a 2h concert on Vanyar (a german server) since december 2008. Our usual audience is up to 40 people. Since about one year we also play concerts on different other servers (Landroval, Belegaer, Maiar, Laurelin usw. ) at a random basis. Lately we performed at some big community events like the "Bree Dressur Derby" on Vanyar and the "Spring Carnival Racing" on Landroval. Here's a link to our livestreams on Twitch.tv:

Th' Breakfast Club is a Band that originated with th' Second Breakfast Kinship on Crickhollow, but which now counts as Band Members folks from 3 or 4 other Kinships as well. Th' thing that binds us t'gether is th' desire t' play GOOD music fer th' Free Peoples, an t' add t' th' repertoire o' music floatin around Arda as many new arrangements, interestin lyrics an yes, even original melodies as we can. Although we have several members that come up with new songs fer th' Band t' play, we ain't above playin other folks' tunes, so long as they are well-built an musically interestin. An we hope that others'll find our contributions t' be worth playin as well. Tho I'm sure this can be said 'bout any o' th' Bands that'll be playin in Weatherstock (an many that won't be as well), we're all just terribly pleased that th' Valar have given us th' ability t' make music in Arda, an we hope t' use that ability help bring harmony, both literally an figuratively, t' lands o' Middle-earth.

On a personal note: Over the years Weatherstock really became an "international" thing so to speak. We have 11 bands from 8 different servers! And in real life the people behind these bands actually come from all over the globe. This is so great. Lotro players build an awesome community here. -Floradine
Ministock was yesterday. Approximately 100 staff, band members, and spectators assembled to do a dress rehearsal for Weatherstock. If you like good music you should attend the July 20th epic event!

At the same weekend but on Saturday the 6th we have two more great bands for you!
On Saturday the 6th we will see Die Meisterbarden von Bree who came over from Vanyar:
And a little later on Sat. 6th A Flock of Smeagols feat. Don’t Tempt Me Frodo will entertain you in Celondim:

Thanks to Glenwin, Floradine, Keli and the other guys from 'The Lonely Mountain Band' for your support this evening. Thanks also to the wonderful people of Landroval for your support and welcome this evening. it was a pleasure to perform for you all.
Here are some of the images we managed to capture from tonight's performance:
Best of luck to 'Die Meisterbarden Von Bree' and 'A Flock of Smeagols (feat. Don't Tempt Me Frodo)' for their concerts tomorrow (Sat 6 July) and all the other bands appearing before/at Weatherstock.
Here are my pictures from this week-end's three concerts:
1st: The Shades - http://www.flickr.com/photos/floradi...7634514550844/
2nd: Die Meisterbarden von Bree - http://www.flickr.com/photos/floradi...7634523163575/
3rd: A Flock of Smeagols ft. Don't Tempt me Frodo - http://www.flickr.com/photos/floradi...7634529723648/
On a personal note: Like every year the diversity of the bands is most astonishing. Each has their very own style and that makes this series so great for me.

And as if three concerts per weekend is not enough we will have FOUR bands playing for you next weekend:
We start the weekend with A Rock and a Hard Place. They hail from Dwarrowdelf!
And a little later at the same evening Animal House, one of our Landroval resident bands, will be playing for your entertainment:
Then, on Saturday, we have two more great bands for you!
Andúnië, coming over from Laurelin, starts the musical day:
Followed by Mornie Alantie, the German band from Belegaer just two and a half hours later:

I look forward very much to be an eager member of the public for these concerts.
I have rolled an alt and got him to a suitable level on Landroval (I normally play on Laurelin)
I just have one question which is puzzling me - how can you have musicians as "guests" on Landroval from another server?
I can't see (or Turbine) you doing server transfers of the characters. Do the musicians roll up other alts on Landroval as close as they can to their original alts?
Sorry if it is a bit of a dumb question.
I thought I'd drop in and mention that The Lonely Mountain Band has been nominated for a DragonSlayer Award for best gaming group/guild/clan. Given the past 5 years of organizing and supporting Weatherstock and making it the most talked about musical event in gaming (Even PC Gamer Magazine has covered it), it's a well deserved honor.
http://community.guildlaunch.com/pro.../DragonSlayer/
Of course, as you are ALL nominated for Most Passionate Community (again) I'm sure you'll take that passion and apply it appropriately.
Congratulations guys.
Haha, Abersoch_EU explained it very well already. Some folks even level their Landy-alts to much much higher levels than necessary. It's not only the band members but even visitors do that. I guess their need to have it comfortable here is large enough to do this. All those fancy clothes are costly It's very astonishing. When I came to my first Weatherstock visit, I kept it toally simple and just made it out of the intro at level 7. I took one of the escorts the LMB provided and was save and sound on Weathertop before I knew it with no hassle at all.
Of course then I decided that I wanted to be a member of this crew. And then I applied. And leveled my new Floradine higher than the original one on Belegaer. Well, I guess, I needed some comfort and fancy clothes. And a house. And stuff. And.... hahahaha. And of course a lot of friends. And I found them in the LMB. Many many awesome people are here that make you feel very much at home if you have a soft spot for running crazy events like Weatherstock. Or horse races. Or rodeos. Or Ales and Tales. Or the Twelfth Night Ball. Or play with the the BBB. Or the Andune Ensemble. Or Old Winyards kin-band. Or read the jokes in kinchat all the time. And the overall great atmosphere in the kin. You actually can replace each "or" above with an "and" and you have an exact image what this kin is all about.
We did this: https://soundcloud.com/the-strongfoots/lmb-anthem

Ah, well... yeah... I am at home.
I have to subsequently post one more ad: Because on Sunday we will have The Breakfast Club from Laurelin as guests:
