I strayed away for a while

...but I wanna come back as this is definitely one of my favorite games..the question is:
I had turned off my VIP subscription and I know that as F2P is limited access etc but will I still have access to all my gold and storage and AH and such? or would I be better off re activating?

If you play on the same characters you had while VIP, you'll have access to all your traits, ah and gold you had while VP. You lose non-expansion content you rented while VIP.

You'll actually be categorized as a Premium player rather than pure F2P. You did spend money. Also former VIP dropping to Premium retains some VIP benefits on characters played while VIP. A F2P players who spends some money to move up to Premium would not get these, so you're in pretty good shape here.

When you first log in you may have to select some of your characters to be locked. You'll be able to play 3 characters, plus one for each additional character slot you purchased, if any. If you only had 3 characters or fewer, then no impact here. (Character limit is per server, not overall.)

You'll have access to all your previous gold and storage and swift travel. If you create a new character it will be more limited than your old VIP characters. You'll have AH access, but it may be more limited than when you were VIP - can post fewer items. I'm not sure of the details on that though.

You'll only have access to quests in the content that you purchased, if you purchased any expansions like Moria, Mirkwood, etc.

Easy enough to just (re-install and) log in. Just be prepared in case you need to select some characters to be locked at the character selection screen.

Yep that is exactly what happened last night when I logged in and it got me thinking what I would miss out on.
I bought everything up to September last year so I guess I will not have mounted combat unless I buy Rohan?
And will I be able to get to new max lvl cap?
God I think I'm gonna have to pay some money here.....but it is Lotro after all and I love the game

This is a really good explanation of what you should have access to when you return.

    Welcome back!

You get the default mount for each class for Mounted Combat. Your cap will always be the current end-game cap. I don't seem them backing off this since they made moria, then mirk and so on free to access. If you chose to stay with what you have, you can make; it will just be slow.

If you purchased Moria as an expansion you should have five slots I think it came with 5 and the warden and runekeeper

True. I like to keep it simple and state the worst case. If things work out better than that, then it's all good.
