    Sapience,

Thank you for bringing this wonderful charity to the LOTRO community's attention! I'm sure I don't have to tell you what kind of difference you've made. You inspired me to be a participant this year, and I don't regret a minute of it! I only raised $330 and just barely got my little team to hit $400 (paltry numbers compared to Turbine's), but I'm going to be gearing up for it again next year. It genuinely feels good knowing I've helped to make a difference.

Looking forward to seeing your beard of many colors!

Can people still donate to this and get ingame titles and such?? I was away that weekend and couldn't participate.
I thought it was only for that weekend but now that I look at Rick's Extralife page, I see no cutoff date(?) and it appears people are still donating.

Yes, by all means, you can still donate and get the in-game titles. I think that Sapience's page notes that Dec 2nd, 11:59pm EST was a cutoff for the single largest donation by individual or kinship goals, so it's definitely NOT just for that weekend or for the make-up day events.

Huge, massive, awestruck shout-out to The Inklings of Meneldor for their latest $500 donation blowing past the $48K mark in funds raised. This isn't even their only donation as can be seen from the OP, and neither is this their first year of support. Grats to them for showing everyone where their hearts are. So proud of the community we all belong to.

Any idea on the amounts raised by each kinship? We are still trying to raise additional funds!

I posted a thread on the DDO side to bring this to the attention of folks there who double-dip their game time to both sides. Obviously, I have no way of knowing who all crossed over to drop change in the pot here. However, in fairness, I need to point anyone here with interest in DDO back across the border to a charity event there:

I'm still sorting through them, it's hard while dealing with launch. Inklings are easy to do as they donate all under the kin name and I can just sort. They're about $1775 if memory serves.

Just an update. Look at my sig. $50,000.00. Over 1800 donations.

The original deal was if we hit the $50k by my Birthday I'd hold the drawing on my birthday for the lifetime and 2 passes to E3. So to make it fair for anyone who was planning to donate later, I'm going to honor that date. That means you have until December 30, 2013 to donate if you haven't already and still qualify.

On Dec 3 I'll announce the largest single individual donor (currently $1,000 and anon, so I won't announce the name, but will send them an email) and the kinship that donated the most (Inklings $1775 is currently the top I believe, I'll post the correct amounts by Sunday the November 24th).

Thank you all. This is an incredible accomplishment each and every one of you who donated should be very proud of. Even if you weren't able to donate, you should be proud to be a part of a community that puts together this kind of effort and shows such an outpouring of caring for kids. I am in awe of you all.

    Thumbs up How completely awesome.

Well done, Lotro Community. We did ourselves proud-and there's still time to do more.

    I'm just really, really amazed.

    Thumbs up

Wow! I was just talking to my sig other about seeing what we could do for another donation to get Sapience to the 50K mark earlier today. This community - for all the grousing and such you sometimes hear about the game - is pretty darn amazing. $50,000 raised and it's going to make such huge differences in the lives of numerous kids and their families.

    Makes my heart happy.

Wondering if these are still the highest amounts for a single donor and a kinship, or in case there are higher amounts, what they are. Someone may be contemplating a last minute donation, I think due date/time is before midnight est tonight?

    as for totals.

I'm behind. Mostly because I keep crashing when trying to work with the data and search through it to find all the info I need. So I don't have the totals of every kin. I DO have the highest 3 kins and top individual in a single donation.

Top single donation by an individual is $1,000 by an anonymous donor.
(The next highest is $542, then a number of people at $500. Remember, donations made naming your kinship count as kinship, not individual. Also, one lump sum. Not multiple donations. Though there is a very generous individual who has donated more than $1k overall and will be getting a very special thank you from me.)

The Inklings of Meneldor have donated $1726.
Defenders of the Lost Light of Brandywine have donated $1500.
Knight of Valour of Vilya have donated $1,325.

Sapience, can you please tie this off with a post saying when you plan to start sending out the emails with the title, and again later when you are done, so we know if we were missed or not?

    Thanks.

    Wrapping up a few things.

    Final Challenge Winners...

The Inklings of Meneldor - For the second year in a row!

Top donation by an individual in a single donation - $1,000 by a person who wishes to remain anonymous at this time.

Emails with codes are currently on my list for FRIDAY DEC 13, if that slips I'll post again. So everyone should have their emails in hand by Saturday AM.

Also on Friday Dec 13 myself and 3 members of Team Turbine will be heading up to Boston Children's Hospital to spend an afternoon doing some fun crafts with them. This came about as the result of a suggestion for a $30k goal that we go Christmas Carol for them or do some other fun thing. We worked with the Hospital to come up with a crafting event and we'll be making some very fun paper cup Penguins. We're all really looking forward to this!

Photo of my dyed beared is something i'm going to try to get done before the end of the year. I've had to let it grow out more than usual to avoid dying my face instead of just the facial hair. Once it's long enough, I'll have a festive Holiday Pink and Green and I'll make sure everyone sees it.

Rap Video is going to be pushed out until after the first of the year. We've discovered our intended song is just way beyond our rhythmically challenged selves. I'll keep you posted.

Also, just a quick reminder. This is not something support can help you with. Please do not submit tickets or contact GMs in game. If you have questions, send a PM to me personally.

What will the email address that the email will be sent out from? What should we look for, just in case for some reason it is caught by anti-spam software?

    This didn't happen.

Or else, it didn't happen for me.

Which is okay, y'know, cuz stuff happens; but if it DID happen (only not for me) it'd be great to know for sure.

    Cool, thanks for the update.

I sure don't mind if it takes awhile. I just want to know if it happens and I miss it.

You know, Sapience...it wouldn't bother me (now, I am speaking for myself) at all if you waited at least until the beginning of the new year, so you can get you holiday celebrating in. I know for me I am not even done with my gift shopping and we have family over, so pretty busy this time of year! So, have a good time and enjoy. Take your time...Happy Holidays!
