I agree! I have moved server twice in the last year to get away from the 'new recommended server' and don't want a more populated server. I'm fed up moving, maybe those who want more population could try moving!

I would guess from this article where it states that "significant technical issues" are currently standing in the way of plans to merge servers.

I don't know how true that is but it sounds as if Turbine have given it some thought from that quote.

Use search function, guess this one will be closed soon because we had this topic quite often. Btw. would be something for suggestions and not here. And you can explain how to do it since search will help you to understand the problems of it. Do I need to say more?

Server merge advocates are like people who want to move to a new town or city, but want to take all their friends, family, neighborhood, and favorite shops and haunts with them. They never seem to consider the consequences of getting what they wish for.

Transferring from one server to another should be an individual decision unless Turbine is forced to do it in order to maintain the services they supply to their customers. Since Turbine currently would have to do individual transfers for every player, that would be a lot of players being forced to give up things they may not be willing to give up, as listed here: http://support.turbine.com/link/port...-Transfer-FAQs

Do you really think Turbine wants to deal with the logistical and PR nightmares and lost revenue that would result from a forced merge? Also, OP--do YOU want to lose all the things listed on the transfer FAQ page that you'd lose with a forced transfer? Because you'd be in the exact same boat. If you're willing to lose those things, then by all means request a transfer. But please stop demanding server transfers to be forced on everyone else on your server because you aren't happy.

That's the quote I found so I guessed it was also the one the OP had, nothing else. So I'd say at this point that it's that particular article that is misleading

Someone has clearly read all my response to previous threads of this nature.

Somehow two distinct comments were merged into one by some sites. The two questions were:

Will there be server mergers? No. There are no plans to merge servers.
Will players from EU servers ever be able to transfer to NA servers? Unlikely, there are significant technical issues preventing it.

If I'm being perfectly honest, there was really nothing new mentioned in the live stream that we haven't said before. Many of the questions were the same questions we're often asked with the same answers given.
