The answer to your question is "No", players that were involved in terrible PvP on their home server will probably not improve PvP on a new server. But that's not what we're dealing with here.

With the exception of the BW commits, these aren't people that are transferring away from bad PvP to what they hope will be great PvP. These are people that are transferring away from NO PvP to, worst case scenario, Bad PvP. If they'd do a few server merges like they should, this wouldn't be necessary - but all I ever hear is that it's never going to happen. If you want consistent PvP in this game, the only option left for a lot of us is head to BW... or give this a try. $25 bucks for a char transfer isn't gonna break my bank and I'm not a fan of RvR... so why not? We might very well fail at our goal of keeping it small-group oriented, and there will certainly be zerging and healstacking and npc-hugging and all manner of scandalous 'moors activity, but at least there will be action.

And yes, I played on El for a bit, as well as Silverlode when they had a large number of transfers. I also played on Ridder for months. It has always been the same story.

50+ people transferring to a server that might have a 100 (probably less) current PvPers is going to make a HUGE impact. Enough that the attitude of those transfer players will change the current server drastically. I'll bet the attitude and play style brought by those transfers wont "improve" the PvP.

Either way, 3 months from now most of those transfers will be back to their home servers or some other server....Just like you and I

EDIT: The worst enemy to PvP is its players, the players make PvP what it is not the server. Do you really think that players that were involved in terrible PvP on their home server when condensed onto another server will improve PvP on that server?
About the last part.. you are right somewhat... but I have to disagree with you... people who play with ###### action on their server... will be the biggest pushers for good action on the server we chose. It Is all about desire... not where you came from.. the pages... not the cover

I sincerely hope it plays out well, honestly. The moors can be a lot of fun if the players on both sides want both sides to enjoy it. I probably have been jaded by to many similar attempts that have utterly failed, not due to the venue, but the players involved (me being one of them ). As aaSteele noted though, IMO it will all break down because of players egos getting the best of them which ruins small group/soloing. Then its back to RvR and for that BW works just fine.
