So this it, Windfola. For those of you who haven't heard a dozen times already, I am getting married this following Monday (the Thirteenth), and my gameplay from today on will be extremely limited due to personal choice (don't worry, not being beaten by my fiance yet). Because my time to play on this game will be so limited, I made the tough decision to transfer to Crickhollow, and I did so last night. Unfortunately, I will not have the time anymore to devote to creating freep and creep groups on both sides to get Windfola action started (which I have done for a few months now), thus the decision to transfer.
I am going to miss all of you badly, and it already seems odd logging into the Crickhollow server- seems like a different game. Many of you deserve personal recognition for your friendship. So here goes:
Tilimir: A good one to start with. I still remember back in May when he first suggested not using Water-lore in 1v1s at GTA. Well, needless to say, I didn't listen to him (having no audacity caused that decision), but ever since then, I have done my best to ignore his advice... and somehow end up using it anyways. Kidding aside, Til, you have been my mentor in the Loremaster class since I have started playing this game. Whether it was your rotation, suggestions, or your constant cheerfulness, you have greatly influenced how I played my class, the Loremaster.
The Kinship V: Thanks to you guys for letting you butt in on all of your Tier 2 runs and skraid. Fel, Josh, Gung, Murz, Cyxth, Fract, Tyler- all of you guys have been simply horrific, and it's been great. Without you guys, I wouldn't have had the chance to run many of the Tier 2s that I wanted to run, not to mention your constant willingness to help me get things going out in the moors.
Imelvo/Lothogon: Just because you guys shouldn't really be separated. Whether it was failed 6 manning of BG T2 (it was Imelvo's fault), or 3 manning Tarlang's Crown like bosses, we kicked tail whatever we did (even if it was a grind). Looking forward to keeping in touch with you guys at Crickhollow. Oh, and Imelvo? Mits, dude. Mits.
Mekana: This goober has been biting my butt on her warg for months now. Even though she has about 3 audacity on all of her toons, she's always willing to fight, and is one of the few players that comes out in the moors even if there doesn't look like there will be action. You've always been kind, flirty (even excessively so, sometimes), and one of the most generous and kind people I know.
Gwinvalniel: I've known you since back in Angmar, and I don't even know if you'll seen this. We've had many talks, and helped each other out many a time. Keep playing hard, and learn about life even hard. You will be missed (but do please keep sending me those Loremaster LIs, will ya?).
The Moors Folk: There are simply too many of you to call out individually, Grish, Nash, Gurbursh, Sig, Pyro, Kolk, Zarg, Clay, Defending, PK, Dep, etc etc ETC. You all have been great, and done your absolute best to keep Windfola moors alive. Thanks for numerous kills, thanks for the even more numerous deaths, and thanks for the fun. You got me hooked on PvP, and I will always consider the Windfola bunch the cream of the crop.
Erazer: I think I'm going to miss you the most when it comes to PvP. Over time, we've developed a friendship beyond ganking rez circles (ha!), to the point to where I find our battles the most intense and fun I have. Despite your ruthless playstyle, you always were chivalrous, whether it was letting me flip an OP, waiting to pounce after I had disposed of NPCs, or not joining in on a 2v1 or 3v1. You have explained so many things about the Warg class to me, and I believe myself to be a much better player in many ways due to your mentoring. Thanks for the memories (I left Malu on Windfola in the hope that I may drop in from time to time for a pounce session)
Bomac: Ah dude, hard to believe I'm gone. I still remember us running those BBs so late at night that I thought for sure I was going to fall asleep at the keyboard. You've always been an amazing companion in the moors, a tremendous hunter, and one of the nicest guys I know. Keep corpse-jumping, my little friend.
Jake: We just met recently, but you're ganking charm quickly won me over. You've always been willing to get action going, and are one of the funniest guys out there. Good luck finding another Loremaster to help you fish for wargs.
Tull: TROLOLOLLOLOLOL
My Kinship, The Oathsworn: Man, folks. Where to begin! You have been my kinship since the very beginning- when I came back to this game back in January, and was struggling through Angmar. You've always been willing to help, whether it was an instance, a quest, or a need for armor. Your generosity and genuine kindness will never be matched by any kinship on Middle-Earth. There are simply too many of you to mention, but you have all been dear friends- my respect to Kimi for creating such an exceptional kinship.
Khorilas: Man, you deserved a special thanks. We've been friends since Moria back when we used to run those dang instance. It was you who first called me Lagmaster (thanks to my notorious 4 minute load screens), and it was you who was always willing to hang out with me. We've cracked jokes, slashed cold cuts at each other, and fired shots that would have laid flat the ego of lesser men, but not us. You'll always be my little Khori-lass, and I'll always be your tank. Cheers dude, it's been good (shoot me a private message if you see this, though!).
Last but not least, Grimbowstein: Man, another one of the people that goes way back. With you it was running into your mini out in Angmar, and was immediately impressed when you yelled at me for not knowing how to play my class. You're not one to mince words, but rough or not, you're a diamond, man. You're insane generosity has blown my mind many a time, whether it was gear crafted, tips, or spending time helping me out with something. You've been my best friend on this game, and I'm going to miss the heck out of you. Keep perfecting that hunntard of yours, and be sure to yell at Minseil if he starts messing up. Stay in touch, brother.
Anyways, I guess that's it. I really don't know how to thank all of you, not just the ones on the list, but the many, many , many others who have been part of my LOTRO experience. I'm no gamer, never have been, never will be, but my exposure to this community has truly impressed me.
God bless you all, and remember him in all that you do.
Stay classy, Windfola.
