    Few questions

    1. Are Beornings a heavy, medium or light class?

    2. Can someone post some legacies please?

    3. Are there any weapon bonus passives?

    4. What is the primary stat (this should correlate to item 1)

    5. Wrath: Ive only heard about it briefly, is this like fervor pips and hunter focus?

Just a few questions to start, playing a new class is appealing albeit I dont desire to run through old content, still this is a reason to come back to lotro pve if its fun to play. I have a butt load of TP stored from VIP, its doing nothing for me banked.

Thanks in advance, Ill likely have more questions later.

    Medium

    3. Are there any weapon bonus passives?
    1h and 2h Clubs

    4. What is the primary stat (this should correlate to item 1)
Might, there is a lack of armour with might, but you should get by.
You can get great class gear with loads of Might from Moria instances, Lorien Instances, Dol Guldar, Isengard, OD, Dragon, Etc...
They also get tact Mastery from Will and more Phys Mast from Agility. So its pretty nice.
If they keep their stats like this it might be worth getting tomes.
Still, it is rough finding decent armour under lv 58/60
There is no rift set yet, but you should be able to cobble together some crafted and some skirmish gear.

    5. Wrath: Ive only heard about it briefly, is this like fervor pips and hunter focus?

Its like classes from other games.
Wrath is your power bar, it starts out at 0
Man form skills usually give wrath 5 10 or 15 depending on the skill.
When you swap to bear form you can spend wrath for big hitting skills.
It decays while out of combat or when in bear form.

So a medium classed with might as the primary not agility, that seems odd and not because I have a hunter and burg but because Turbine has streamlined this aspect of the classes pretty well. Is the thinking thus far by the community that it should be an agi based class? Might is the primary for the heavies, at least thats how I build my guard after U12 for more damage.

The Weapon Legacies I like the most are Bee Swarm Damage, Bear Form Damage and Execute Damage.
The Class item Legacies I like the most are Hearten Heal Strength and Healing Potency. I'm assuming Out of Combat Wrath Decay is currently bugged because it currently increases your decay by +1/2 (to 6/7), instead of reducing it by -1/2 (to 4/3).

Also, the Class item main Legacy can't decide whether it wants to be Incoming Healing or Tactical Healing.

so the lotro tree tool I use hasnt been updated with the new class, the wiki has incomplete info. Can someone post up a visual on the tree and discuss the CC abilities?

    Thanks again.

I'm not sure what you're looking for, since a mere pic won't show you the tool tips of each trait...
    discuss the CC abilities?
There's a Bear Form Fear, which becomes an AoE in yellow. Also, yellow gives you a 2.2s Stun in Bear Form.

So, the CC options are slim to none.

Even though it's a medium armor class, mitigations caps at 60%.

And +15% Movement Speed in Bear form seems to be bugged.
Vicious claws damage shows 0.002% increase in damage, this is just a tooltip bug. It increases Vicious claws damage with 20%.

No it wont, I was hopeful to see the pic and have someone provide a narrative on the CC abilities, I am a man, Im visual.

So its following the other classes I assume? Red = dps Yellow = support CC, Blue = tank

The mitigation cap is 50% as I recall for a medium class, so is the extra 10% from class traits or is this just class specific, meaning its a flat 60% no matter how you trait.

The Beorning is an exception. They are on the heavy armour mitigation curve (60%) even though they wear medium armour.

Take a look at this video on the yellow traits. He also has videos for the red and blue specs. I've watched this one and for the most part he gets them right (I think he's guessing on some since he's not used them before due to low-levelness) but you can read clearly read the tool tips to interpret them yourself. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the video. So 60% I'll be interested to see some tank builds then.

    Beorning Armor

There are yellow gear quest rewards that contain 1 of 5 or 6 pieces of Might gear as you level. In addition, Med armor might recipes have been added to L15, L25 & L35 tailor crafted gear. I would assume that's true for L45 as well, but I haven't checked those personally yet. My Beorning is only L32 atm. Generally speaking, I found crafted axes to be a better fit stat wise 20-30 (might, vit, morale), and 2H clubs through 30-40.

Question regarding the mit curve, can this be confirmed? I feel like the rating to % ratio is exactly same as all other mediums. Meaning you still need more phys/tact mitigation (to hit 50%) then a heavy needs to hit 60%. Offhand, my Beorning is roughly 15k Phys mitigation which is = to 44% and 13k tact mit which = 40%. I really dont want to have to try and stack 22k+ mitigation to get to 60%.

Thats interesting because its a departure from the clear direction of streamlining light, med and heavy classes with similar loot and gear, not to mention stat contributions. Dont get me wrong im happy with the 60% mits for a tank class but this just seems off to me.

Serious question, how does this feel in play? Is it slapped together or does it work? I recall when Wardens were newer (maybe it was after a revamp, they did a few) I recall people saying it didnt feel right.

I got mine yesterday and it feels good, not too much like any of the other classes but fresh and new. I believe there were some complaints about the trait tree. Apparently you put points into the tree to upgrade skills you don't have yet, but I haven't encountered this yet(I'm only level 11)

    | Falaminianteraglith dwarf Runekeeper 20 | Randu man Lore-master 17 | Nafthali woman Warden 12 |

    It feels fine for me.
I've gone mostly in redline, a little bit in blue.

In blue you can kill things 15 levels over you by keeping up the damage reflect and self healing.

In red, for something Elite+ I cast my self heal then wade in keep expose up swap to bear around 40 rage then pound thrash until I run low, if execute is availible use it.

Solo and Duo its a really solid class.

    60% mitigation curve?

Can this be verified or can you go into more detail about how you know this please?

The basic problem with documenting the Beorning (on the Wiki or elsewhere) is that there is no documentation!

Turbine has not provided us with any Dev Diaries this time around, so everything is purely based on experience players have had with the class.

If you read the pages I've put together over a the wiki: https://lotro-wiki.com/index.php/Beorning you will note that they include the little which Turbine has commented on the Class from the various Twitch streams. I.e. see the "Discussion" pages for each main Wiki page. Jinjaah's comments on the main Discussion page is the most complete description we have of the Dev's intentions in designing the class.

Keep in mind also that the Beorning is also a Race (not a Class), and is based upon the character in the book -- not on how it matches or contrasts with the other classes and races already in-game.

The other important thing to realize is that it is a Class still under serious development, not just tweaking. There are some significant skill changes, far beyond what most would call tweeking, which were evident on Bullroarer with the 15.1 update - damage, timeouts, cool-downs, etc.

I've only gotten my Beorning up to level 40 so far, mainly because I'm documenting as I go along, but several of the changes between release in U15 and the beta of 15.1 are very noticeable.

BTW, the "Blue Line" - The Hide - is not a DPS line, but a "tank" or an "off-tank" line. The "Red Line" - The Claw - is the pure DPS line.

    And note Jinjaah's final comment:

. . . one of the things we have been talking about over on Bullroarer is this class is gonna launch with 51 ranks instead of 53 which is what all the other classes have and without two legendary capstones. The reason we did this was we wanted to kind of release the class a little while and let you guys play it and get your feedback what's missing and what you would like to see and then add those additional ranks over time based on how you guys like it. We are leaving room to grow so we don't have to pull anything away.

Well thanks for your efforts. The issue is again, turbine. My expectations are very low for them anyway so I'll survive but the lack of documentation on the class/race is really to bad. I was fishing around google this weekend end for legacies and I kept getting the bullroarer forums as the best source.

Anyone have info on legacies or a list?
