Nope. Any information about the schedule is really overdue.
(And I mean official information by Turbine. Not some vage 'well, there will be the anniversary event in late april and then this and that some time later on ...'-guesswork from other forum users)

Who said U16 was coming in April? The last I remember they said spring and I expect U16 in June, for the record; which technically is still spring by the calendar if launched before the 21st.
That said, betas vary, depending. If they start beta in April, which I'm not sure is going to happen (I'm thinking May) and do 4 weekly rounds, well good for them; for they'll get a May launch. I do think the beta will be longer than two weeks this time. There's a lot to test.

So what, are we on the bi-annual update cadence now?

Update 16 was discussed in this post:

on March 3, 2015.
Do not forget Turbine has suffered thru a miserable month of horrid winter weather which has resulted in a lot of lost worker bee hours.

Frelorn said during his livestream last week that they have some news to release about developer diaries and stuff, but Vyvyanne was out being sick after PAX East, so it delayed some things.

I would rather see U16 delayed for however long it takes to get it right, than to see it implemented before it's ready. I watch DDO be destroyed by that type of impatience. I dont want to see it here. Devs, you just keep pluggin along til it's finished and dont let anyone rush you. Dont break the game!
I dont make plans for the day because then the word *premeditated* gets thrown around in the courtroom.

To put this thread back on topic, we are shooting for the end of April-ish for Update 16. We had scheduled it to be completed sooner, but thanks to the Snowpocalypse that was the month of February here, we pushed out the timeline a bit to ensure the team has enough time to get everything done they need to.
There may also be a smaller update before that as well, depending on a few things. More information will be passed along as we nail down the details.

*almost... but not really...* Last year was abominable for my area, and actually I'm a little thankful you kept it all and melted it in style this year. (Those Snowdragons™ were interesting to see at work. Never heard of such beast til this year. Yowzah!)

C'mon now... Nine feet of snow in a large metropolitan area in a month. Quit exaggerating! Snowpocalypse! Sheesh!
You make it sound like people were walking in the street because they couldn't locate sidewalks. Or that people just left their cars buried under snow because they couldn't be dug out and, if they could, the streets were too narrow to drive on. Next you'll tell me that Boston Harbor, only recently showing signs of environmental clean-up efforts, was used to dump tons of snow - and whatever else was plowed up with it - risking years of cleaning effort. Or that thousands of tons of snow were put through a Snow Dragon which insta-poofed it all into water, straining the city's storm-water cleaning systems.
Go on with ya now! Pull the other leg!
Next thing you know he'll try to convince us all that today, all the beer in the city has turned green with envy over just how well the City of Boston handled a Snowpocalypse.
PS: Yes, just to be absolutely clear, all of the above is humor. Or at least an attempt at humor. YMMV.
