Yeah the creeps don't really come out until they have a raid or large group, i mean they do slink out to quest during the day, but they're pretty quick about it. So yeah Antinoma, unfortunately almost every fight you have is 3+ vs 1 so you get in the habit of prepping with some heals. Gone are the days of creeps roaming solo or duo on E. You will find some solo freeps roaming, searching futility for a creep though.

Interesting action last night though, about 12-15 creeps with 6 healers vs (I think we capped at 14 before I left), with about 6 geared freeps and the rest un-geared. That's generally how it goes these days, very few geared freeps and a lot of storebought creeps that haven't totally learned how to play their toons. When there's no geared freeps around to regulate, the GV camps go on for hours while the creeps just farm the under-geared folks. Kinda sad since that type of fighting still doesn't teach people how to play creep classes fully. I'd love to have some 1v1s where TC, Burrow, 25% pot, VT, revenge, Impale and all that jazz isn't part of the normal rotation, would be more fun.

The freep train in pic 1 includes: 1 LM, 1 minstrel, 1 captain, 1 hunter, plus a minstrel, lm, and 2 wardens in the back... And, in the very back I see 2 more freeps... for 1 greenie reaver??? Is there a craid off camera?

And is that lead LM's bird named 'Wusses?' To whom could it be referring?

    Was certainly 3+ vs 1...

Lot of solo freeps in one spot?

Yeah that group kept coming and standing next to me cuz i was killing the wargs that were attacking me i guess. Then i renamed my bird when they stopped coming when we triple KB'd each other. I figure if i'm not healing 2 wargs should be back in that fight asap, thus -wusses-.

You've been playing there a bit lately, you know the creeps just refuse to fight in general unless they make a raid. Those aren't necessarily the freeps that solo btw, they tend to group up out of what they consider necessity for various reasons, and rubes was just gold tagging along with someone on /follow.

I kept trying to get close to you so we could stand there and chill, but you kept charging away. I got you in combat that time so i ran over, i didn't know they were going to zerg you...clearly i'm off standing with my back to the debacle instead of 1shotting you as I would try to do if i were intent on killing a greenie.

Roam around during the day, you'll find pure, me, gil, various burgs, yeo, some wardens, a few hunters, possibly anti, all roaming around. You may also find some of the people in that group already grouped up, but that's their thing. What ends up happening to some of those solo freeps is a creep dies to one, then the creeps make a group, so the freeps group up, then the creeps decide they don't want to fight a group and log off.

Come on man, don't just troll, you saw the total lack of interest in fighting last night, there were freeps on and the creeps just chose to not group up or stay online to fight them. You even commented on it while i was warging, about the lack of interest when there's not a craid.

I see: You were the victim of bad PVP! You're solo, those other freeps just kept standing where you happened to be standing! Nobody could go anywhere else!

I see: When discussing server activity and explaining how freeps play, we should only focus on a segment of the population and make generalizations. And, when freeps group up 'out of what they consider necessity for various reasons,' this is to be ignored because 'that's their thing.' When creeps group up 'out of what they consider necessity for various reasons,' they 'just refuse to fight in general unless they make a raid' - that's not their thing!

I see: when a goldtagger hangs around a group, heals the group and is healed by the group, that doesn't count as playing together because the goldtagger isn't in the group.

I see: your place in the front of the line in SS 1 is misleading; your pose in the greenie reaver's second SS is an example of a 'geared freep[] around to regulate' the play at hand! Supervising the team, eh?

I have roamed around during the day and I have found mostly... nothing. I have seen a number of the people that you're talking about, and rarely has it been solo looking for fights. Mostly what I have seen is solo freeps turning in quests at OR on ten different alts. On occasion I have seen OPs mysteriously flip but there is never a player around for a fight afterward. I've even seen a minstrel who flops 3x to get out of combat and map out of the Moors. On occasion, I have killed solo freeps only to have those freeps come back with two or three friends in a group to fight a solo player.

I see: it's just creeps grouping up because they can't fight solo freeps, but the grouped creeps just can't handle the group play of freeps, either, so they log off. Has nothing to do with the number of freeps in a group and the number of healers in the group. (And, if 'that's their thing,' we probably shouldn't discuss freeps who group up to fight solos?)

I see: when solo/duo players do not group up to fight a group of 5 plus goldtaggers and soloers in the immediately adjacent area, this is a sign that the solo/duo players do not want to fight because they won't make a larger group, not a sign that the group with gold taggers adjacent to the soloers doesn't want to fight because they won't split up and move around the map.

You seem to think I'm the greenie reaver... I am not the greenie reaver. He is a poor soul who, for some ridiculous reason, briefly considered rerolling on E because he heard it used to be a good server. Understandably, the events in his SS seem to have disabused him of this impression.

You also seem to think I made a statement to you after the events in the SS took place, just after the group in the picture capped off the night flipping TR, when you logged into your warg and said in OOC, "It's safe to go back to PVE now, creeps! The freeps [in said SS] are bored now and have left the moors!" That was quite humorous! However, I did not respond to your frivolity. Indeed, that was someone else.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Troll_(Internet)

"a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people, by posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a newsgroup, forum, chat room, or blog) with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion"

The stated topic of this thread is 'server activity.' In response to an inquiry as to whether the server is dead or not, you made the statements that were quoted above. The server activity as you describe it seems to provide a stark contrast with the activity in the greenie reaver's SS, as well as with the activity as I've experienced it. In identifying statements you made that appear ironic in light of the greenie reaver's SS, I don't believe I was sowing discord; starting arguments; trying to upset people; posting inflammatory, extraneous, or off-topic messages with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response; nor was I disrupting normal on-topic discussion. Rather, through irony, I was demonstrating that your characterization of the server activity appears rather inaccurate, or at the very least incomplete.

To continue addressing the topic of server activity, I'd say it's pretty dead and pretty bad. What comes out of one shots and stealth is looking for faceroll and PVE. I'd say the screenshots are solid (though limited) evidence of it on freepside, but all you'd have to do to find further evidence from both sides is to just log back in on E. However, I'd say you could just as easily get terrible play on another server like BW or Landy, and you wouldn't have to wait around all day on those servers to find it.

    Again, good reads! Much appreciated!

I love cats! He looks so sad tho! <-- Cats are not the topic of this thread, so this statement could fairly be characterized as trolling.
