A big thankyou to Vyv and the Lotro team

I would like to express my personal thanks for the efforts of the Lotro team since the beginning of this year.

Not only has communication with the community improved dramatically, since January 2015, I also have become convinced that Lotro is on a good and sustainable path again.

Yes, development resources have been cut and not all improvements we, the players, would like to see happen, can be done.

However, the major task of world consolidation and the continuous effort to improve the details has been handled exceptionally well.

It is clear, that with such a monumental task as world consolidation, new server hardware etc. not all customers will be happy with the necessary changes.
But to me it is rather obvious, that Vyv and team have taken very long measures, to listen to the input of the community and have - in the end - come up with a mechanism, that
    - addresses a lot of concerns of the community
    - is simple and understandable
    - has been developed with a visible effort to cause minimal disruption.

I seldom give an excellent rating in real life, much less for a game, but in my personal opinion, it is well deserved in this case.

Yes, I am aware that not everything is perfect, but perfectionism is the worst enemy of the good and achievable.

I agree 100%. I carp and complain, but I would not have stayed here for 8 years if I wasn't happy here.

You're very welcome, but we're always trying to do even better! I know that I'm as excited for the game as I've ever been, despite having worked on it from the beginning. Excited enough to still come in on holidays like this one, for example! ^_^

I don't post much, but I do want to add my thanks to the team! I find this year when I have questions, you all are there answering them, before I can even ask! Thank you!

I do not have the experience from how the community worked prior to autumn 2013, but I have seen an increased rate of information from Turbine posted the last 6-8 months and that is mostly an improving trend.

As for game fixes/patches, well, that is of course an endless discussion, but I have seen many small things that improve my game experience.

    Thanks are in order.

I'm surprised they didn't have him passed out from too much drinking & have us "carry" him out back where he is then suddenly accosted by ruffians which we have to defend him from, only for him to afterward wake up as if nothing happened - realize that he is missing his "Lucky" drinking fob & have us rush back in the pub to "find" it before any untoward activity should befall the poor luckless hobbit. lolol

Let me join you and also say "BIG THANK YOU" to the new Lotro Team.

    What I most liked:
    - more communication on forums, more info for players about planned things
    - Osgiliath instance cluster
    - PvMP changes
    - small quality of life fixes, such as LI rename always possible, multi-use reputation

However, I will continue my attempts to provide feedback on some of the things that were not possible to be fixed/improved until now.
I sincerely hope that feedback might be viewed as constructive critique.

The best part was the devs saying they were listening concerning the osg pvmp map and than not responding to any of the feedback and then promising creep love and instead adding freep audacity socket armor and not responding to any of the balance feedback. Bravo team you all have done an excellent job!

    Yes, thank you!

Great thread. I still love Lotro as much as I did eight years ago; wish I had more time to play. Thank you, Turbine folks, for so much immersive fun; Lotro is still the only MMO I play!

A hearty thanks go out to you guys, I hope that this game continues on for many more years, you finish the lore(books) then hopefully expand on into the unknown and let your creative minds explode more ideas into this great game.

So my Yellow hunters trap damage isn't based off any stats any chance you guys can take a look at that now? at 100 the spec is woefully underpowered in terms of damage output because the primary mechanic cannot benefit from stats! I brought this up in the spring and figured since MAYBE you guys are reading this I might as well mention it here lol.
