I don't want to offend anyone, as I very much appreciate the fact that you had LA for as long as you did. However your plan here was horrible. From what I have heard, LA may be fully closing. You gave us no warning and didn't even tell us why this is happening, and now 100s of people are losing months of writings because you guys couldn't provide a simple warning a day or two ahead of the closure. If LA does reopen, please remember that we all put hard work and dedication into our characters there, and next time something crazy happens (I'm assuming but at this point for all we know it could just be that the staff is bored...) please give us a chance to salvage what we can of our works first. Thank you.

Hello there
as we clearly stated in our message to the community, we are looking forward to see you all again soon
We are just taking a few days to discuss our future plans for the site.
I would like to kindly remind all that this site is 'free' for the community, however its running involves a huge amount of work from our side.
So while we never forget all the effort our community put in their work, we strive to find a better way to handle the workload.
The Lareulin Archives is not closing down !
See you again soon
Regards

Hey Roelen,
I totally understand how worrying this may seem. I, like lots of folk, have invested many many hours of writing on LA. It would be very disconcerting to loose it all. BUT, I do not think that
is likely. I also know the folk who run and organize LA, and they are hard working, high caliber sorts and absolutely not the kind to just drop something because they are bored. (Someone could have been taken ill, rather than bored?) Khalis has posted that the issue is not a technical one, so that is one concern laid to rest.
There is obviously some recent problem that is better resolved by the site being down for a while. Short notice would suggest the issue needs immediate attention. I trust the folk who have put so much of themselves into LA to do the best they possibly can. I read they are 'reviewing the way forward', not they are permanently closing down.
And edited because I see Amorey has confirmed LA is only on a short break.

Does anyone know how long this break is? It looks like our characters will br suffering amnesia until it gets reopened...

It's not writing new tales I'm worried about, it's the 4hrs of tales that I literally wrote just before the closure that could be lost :/ Hopefully LA doesn't go by turbine standards with a few days and reopening soon doesn't mean reopening soon™ lol

At 3 days I think we at least deserve to know the full reason behind closing :/ Vagueness is already turbines thing

The site will return very shortly. The taking down of the site was not a decision that was taken lightly and those long term members are I am sure awate of how reliable the site is due to the work of the full team at the Archives.
The site is run by human beings with families and full time jobs for free. Sadly we are not robots and are subject to influences from within the community.
For those that have contacted myself directly thank-you for your support to the site and its team.
i will be waiting eagerly
Dear Amorey and Khalis,
Thank you very much for Laurelin Archives, it has enabled a greater experience for all of us.
Thank you very very much.
I hope it comes back, but my wisdom tells me that it is also okay to welcome breaks or even ends when it is time.
Forever yours,
Kveltrild
You are very welcome Kveltrild and thank you for the kind words. I will ensure they are given to Calenon the lead member and indeed founder of the team.
