Then, in a final attempt, denthalion pulls out the "your a failure at real life and have no friends and have no life." It's the LOTRO equivalent of flipping the chessboard once checkmated. "You won the argument but your mom is fat irl lololo"

Oh, and by the way, if anyone should be concerned about real-life concerns, I'd have more concern for the one who struggles to even put together a coherent sentence.

The single biggest (player controlled) reason that PvP is currently what it is was very eloquently explained earlier in this thread. Unfortunately, the excuse of "they did it first, so we will too" does nothing to curb the problem and just reinforces garbage PvP.

Freeps take 4op's so therefore I will. Freeps zerg so therefore my only response is to zerg whenever possible. Freeps always heal stack therefore I must healstack even when not necessary. Freeps use boxing technology therefore I will support boxers too. Freeps camp grams so we must do the same when we have the upper hand. etc, etc, etc.

Blaming the other sides lousy gameplay for the reason why you partake in similarly lousy gameplay does not make for good PvP. It just takes the undesirable behavior/action and makes it effect even more of the community/players. And eventually becomes an accepted response.

Eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

In this game I would rather avoid the players I identify as using cheap playstyles and go about my business somewhere else. I know I'm in the minority here cause I've wandered the moors for hours before with little to no action while people beat their chests about how they've gained 10k infamy without ever leaving grams.

Not every single action by an opponent requires a counter. Especially if that counter will just make the problem worse. Once again it is just a game so if someone does have a "nuke" and I get hit by it then I hit retreat and move on.

I'd rather let people get their jollies at my expense than stoop to their level and make the overall pvp worse (just for my own personal satisfaction).

A few well respected leaders on both sides could go a long way towards weening out the bad apples. Unfortunately, a couple bad apples have already spoiled the bunch so it may be too late.

This might come across a little pot calling the kettle black but basically we are saying the same thing. We're dealing with a community with too many different personalities so there is no realistic solution. However, the solution of "if one side does it then we should to" just makes it worse.

I've said it before but I'll say it again. Cloning me is the only foolproof plan to improving pvp.

I found this one humorous, although I'm not much of a PvPer. To preface: I wanted some of the Moors armor cosmetics, and that takes comms. I figured I'll do the PvE in the Moors and it'll just be very exciting, as in: can I turn in my quests before being killed? (I was also happy to learn there's no item/gear damage or repair.)

On this particular day, I've managed to gather my items and I run to Ost Ringdyr and up to the top floor, to turn them in. Unbeknownst to me, a warg named Curfluffle is there, in stealth. Just as I start to do the turn in, he attacks, preventing me. I have encountered him before, and, while some solo wargs can't hurt me (warden), he can definitely kill me. I look around and then I run out of the nearby window. Somehow I managed to get on the ledge of the outside of the building. Curfluffle chases me and... fallllllllllls to the ground. Like it was a Road Runner cartoon.

I start to crack up laughing and go back in, to quickly turn in my quests before he gets back upstairs to kill me.

Just because someone "has a nuke", as you said, does not justify the act of creating one's own weapons of mass destruction. That only adds to the problem. The boxers are free to do whatever they want and if they pissed off people like you, more power to them. Even Riggatortoise can benefit from the boxer's free points. So you must be so incompetent, so ignorant, so incapable of group coordination, if a keyturning, poorly geared, embarrassment of an RK boxer can frustrate you this much.

Our 2 target assists stopped DPSing altogether to target me and immediately started QQing in Raid chat as well as Teamspeak about the boxer. I, on the other hand, was in a different dimension altogether. I instinctively slammed my right index finger on the Prt Scr button, just in case this exact moment would arise in which I would share my story. Time started to slow down for me. For a brief moment, I did not look at the screen itself, but at the vast accumulation of dust particles on the screen. Still holding the S key firmly, I used my sleeve to thoroughly wipe off the dust until I could see the faint reflection of my face. At this point I released my S key, made a 180 and pressed Num Lock until I reached the steps of GV, where I proceeded to map Bree fully aware that the final moments in my 6 hour moors pass would be wasted.
