Hi folks,

I've never posted in this section, I don't think, and it occurs to me that I probably should. I'm an author by trade, but in my personal time I like to write character fiction detailing stories and events revolving around my own LotRO characters, one for each class and each with their own lives, drives and motives. I generally shy away from simply telling the established events of the game, but rather I work to weave the events and stories that I cover through them in ways that touch in a familiar way, without retreading the actual game-event ground too closely. In my work, I pay particular attention to making real people, with real life considerations - a lot of all the little details and things that most fantastical stories and epic adventures gloss over or pretend aren't things.

I'm also a mature writer; the things I cover aren't censored, and I don't avert the eye from the darker material. Some of it gets quite dark, unpleasant or even uncomfortable in places. There's a lot of good too, but in both directions, my work is such that it can't rightfully be called family friendly. It's mature work for mature adults. As such, the places where I host the chapters of my various character stories can't be linked here on the forums directly, but I'd like to invite anyone interested in reading snapshots from the lives of other peoples LotRO OCs to message me for a link, or else look me up yourself (A quick google for my pen name on the main site I host at will bring you there; it's 'NiaraAfforegate') - I'm eager for critical comments mostly, but I welcome any kind of feedback. More than anything though, I'm simply interested in sharing it with anyone who might like to see.
