Here I was alting, when this happened.
I clicked on my character's name (Ondrath) during that few seconds when the login screen is displaying but the music hasn't started yet. I was alting from Gestrid, the character displaying. Notice anything? The Beorning background is displaying with a Dwarf character.

happens nearly always for me, if i switch between characters fast.
the background is always right, but often characters are wrong (still the last chosen one).Diskutierer, Fragenbeantworter, Twinker, Händler, Handwerker und Gründer der 'Gemeinschaft der freien Völker' auf Belegaer.

I don't think the game is capable of keeping up with much of anything anymore, let alone itself, sorry to say...

Haha, yeah I've experienced this as well. Cool that you caught a screenshot of it though. This seems to happen for me when I'm running LoTRO from my 3.0 USB stick when I play the game from my laptop.
