    Cures

I was inspired by the heavy poison DoTs that the archers in Sammath Gul dailies put on you (pug fellows and I died quite a bit over the course of the week), and thought I'd toss some ideas about our horrible debuff removal skill onto the minstrel forums.

Story Of Courage is the only cure skill we have, and it has a 3s induction. It's meaningless and can simply be avoided in blue line because you can just heal through any problem you have. It's in red line where the utter uselessness of the skill really shines. When the debuffs are important enough to remove that means we're in trouble. And in order to get rid of it we need to STAND STILL for 3 seconds to remove it. We're a light armour class, our ability to take hits is horrible. In fact, the only reason we're as survivable as we are is because we can stay at range and use skills while moving. Using this skill will almost always result in more damage being taken than if you had ignored the skill altogether.

A way for curing to remain a meaningful and useful (albeit minor) part of the minstrel skill set in all lines would be to integrate it into Anthem Of Composure, which is already all about cleansing and resisting/mitigating DoTs. I think a reasonable way to do this would be for Composure + coda to remove 1 poison, wound, fear, and disease effect from the caster and fellowship within 15 or 20m. It is a yellow trait after all so I think it providing a buff to the fellowship would be fitting.

Ranks could even be extended to the Anthem Of Composure trait to have it remove 1 poison, wound, fear, and disease effect every x seconds while active, which would also cause players to keep it up more instead of using it for the power restore and then overwriting it with anthem of war.

    E.g.

Rank 1: Grants anthem of composure.

Rank 2: AoC removes 1 poison, wound, fear, and disease effect every 5 seconds while active.

Rank 3: AoC removes 1 poison, wound, fear, and disease effect every 3 seconds while active.

I'm not sure how I feel about extending the trait as it seems a tad overpowered and runekeeper-y to me, but I thought I'd also include it as food for thought.

Thoughts to add? Hate it? Love it?

Come up with a better reason because Sammath Gul isnt one. You can heal through Sammath Gul in red with coda in melody stance. Try that in Silent Street and you will fail which means Sammath Gul is to easy like GvT and all other daily instances.
